Apparently the billboard top ten points are the lowest they’ve ever been so there isn’t much competition just now. If it comes out next week it could chart high!

That’s not really how it works. All music consumption is down. This affects all artists that release right now, including Gaga. Gaga is not a mathematical anomaly.

20k sales and 20m streams for first week is safe bet for her. 

anything higher than that is just a bonus and shot at higher top10

I hope she does Bond theme one day.. The Top Gun theme is a huge deal already the hype seems big

knowing Ga, its gonna be the latter

actually i wanted it to be released same day as movie because of massive push both on sales and streaming 

i remember shallow getting its best updates (compared to others) on sundays thanks to everyone going to see the movie while others lose many streams on sunday

Bond themes are a dime a dozen. It’s not special anymore. And you know how people are with Gaga. They’ll complain she’s not actually British. 

I'm excited for HMH. I mean I'd be worried if she never had Shallow, ARUTW, INLA, ITA, etc. Dont get me wrong, her older ballads were imcredible but they are not the type of ballads the GP are into, they were too Gaga ish ballads. Her ballads on ASIB are more GP friendly. HMH being the soundtrack of a commercial movie makes it seem like it will be in the same vein as ASIB ballads.

This is the exact reason why I’d rather it be released early. Unless it really is Shallah 2.0, movie release week is most likely going to be its peak. I’d rather it have a cute top 10 debut before all the competition in May & then surge at the end of the month. That’ll also give Gar a month to build on radio before the sales/streaming boost when the movie is released
