How would you all think Joanne faired if it followed Born This Way?

Chromatica is hitting different today. In some aspects, it is better than BTW. in other aspects, i was underwhelmed. This is why we need the Chromatic Monster EP

I think it would’ve smashed tbh, or at least done pretty well. The gp was craving for Gaga to switch it up and do something like that Imo.

Yeah, Perfect Illusion would’ve done about what Applause did (maybe a bit worse) but I think Million Reasons would’ve been a massive song tbh. Gaga probably should’ve switched Joanne and ARTPOP’s release dates if she wanted them to smash conceptually. ARTPOP would’ve been more well received in 2016 and Joanne would’ve been better received in 2013.

Perfect illusion is the only single of Gaga that I did not like even after 20 listens... I just gave up on day 1. The next day, I forced myself to listen to it and slowly I started appreciating it but it was never lead single material. It doesn't even represent the album. Million reasons should've been the lead single.

But anyway, for some weird reason (probably severe delusion) I feel like this might be the High in the clouds song that Gaga did with Paul McCartney   

 

1. This snippet is proven to be real. 

2. The song sounds fantastic and HUGE - why would it remain unreleased?

3. It's from 2015. Apparently Gaga played it to Mark Ronson in a studio before they decided to work together on LG5 (Joanne). 

 

The only people Gaga worked with before working with Mark in 2016 were RedOne (this sounds nothing like a redone song + we already know that they only wrote together) and Paul McCartney.  And if the movie was delayed for so many years - it could explain why a song that sounds this good (and it sounds nothing like Joanne or Gaga's other albums) would never be released. 

Why would she play this song to Mark Ronson...?  Unless she told him she worked with the legendary Paul and he was interested to hear the song
I am telling y'all I will LOSE MY **** if this actually happens, but I'm probably being severely delusional   It does sound like it can belong to an animated movie though, it sounds like a big pop power ballad but it has something positive and optimistic in it

I appreciate PI more today than I did back then, but yeah... it was the only time i ever had to pretend to love a Gaga song. 

And the fact that I played it to my mom who likes rock music and Gaga, so I was thinking to myself that at least she'd love it and she was like "i don't like it"   I expected a masterpiece like the snippet I posted earlier, not a screamfest. 

But honestly PI could've been an incredible song, it's just too repetitive and Gaga's screams don't fit the instrumental. It goes off nowadays tho!
