She had a 5 album deal, so I'm not 100% sure if it was post or pre C2C

That is most likely not the true reason why Chromatica was let go. Its screams fan fiction. It was most likely that they didn’t see the results they were hoping for so since ASIB was so massive so they didn’t want to invest into Chromatica anymore.
