Spotify pitching systems and the available genre of playlists are a hot mess. I can find hundreds of party / dance / R&B / workout playlists, but the ones that will be pitchable for balladry songs are relatively rare (maybe just love songs or office music). The one genre that's directly related to HMH like Songs from Movie has been deserted since 2020 (the curator was fired or died of covid or smthn?), but thanks for that, Shallow and ARUTW can get their eternal passive streams hihi.

 

AM is a little better at this. They have all the genres and moods, but they never show the follower numbers. It could be a playlist with 20 listeners, but they all updates regularly. So it feels like there is everything for everyone.

It's been 2 months and it's obvious the song is not going anywhere, radio dropped it, TTH add in the second half of playlist and too late, when this is gonna reach  100M on Youtube and Spotify it will be fine in the optic of a *possible* (key word) Oscar nomination, compared to majority of songs that get nominated and have 1M views at best, sadly it's another missed oppurtunity.

I mean for a soundtrack song nowadays it did well so whatevs, and I personally enjoy the song so it’s one more GodGa song to have in my life  

I still think the song has tons of life left in it. Plus she will most likely be performing it at the academy awards next year.

I wouldn't be mad if this was Gaga, I'm here for her to dedicate her career for awhile and properly only to movies, taking a hiatus from music, especially if she doesn't have inspiration and coming back musically only when she truly has a strong vision for a new album-project.

This. If we are only going to keep getting these half baked eras then I rather her focus on movies for a good 5 years and then come back when she is finally ready to give the world a proper era with passion in her eyes nad heart around the music and videos etc.
