I think I know how they're going to do this movie. It'll be like A Star is Born, but instead of "crashing" concerts ..., they'll be crashing public places, like the subway, mental institute rec room, a bar (like her with Brian),... These scenes will be spontaneous and shot documentary style with real people/crowds. Think of that instead of songs that are acted or with dance routines... like La La Land or West Side Story.

I mentioned it the other day as well, since it's the only classic successful dark musical that came to my mind immediately, however I still think FAD is gonna be a lot  less camp and with less musical parts as well.

It all depends on Todd's choice now. If he chooses to make it blend well with J1, we will probably see Harley looks like Ally Maine with blonde hair for the first half of the film. On the other hand, if he chooses twist and contrast, we will probably get The Rocky Horror Show 2.0.

I think the movie is gonna be focused on the initial relationship between the two and how it starts since this part has never been portrayed on screen and it fits the FAD title, Gaga playing the serious psychiatrist initially that becomes crazy along with him for love, so I can see the movie having like 3, max 4 big musical scenes that can fit the drama movie's narrative and the crazy personalities of the characters, but a whole camp musical like Horror Picture Show from start to finish, sounds too messy and also kind of insensate, like it would be super almost impossible to pull properly.

Without lowkey, they're both categorized as comedies on imdb and wikipedia in first, that is why I don't see FAD going that route.

I can see those messy scenes when things get escalated into chaos, surely not from the opening.

She's kinda serving Harley energy here

I would also love it if the movie presents us Dr. Harleen as a normal psychiatrist that had a healthy relationship with her patient, but the fantastical musical hallucinations show us the romanticized abusive relationship instead

She then gets outed and loses her license. She remembers one of her clients (Joker) as she goes into a depression and crashes at his place cuz she cant pay her mortgage anymore. She starts to slowly lose her mind as she finds new things about his double life. She then turns to Harlee Quinn and joins Joker fully in their deadly escapade and tirade across Gotham
