So I know we're focused on Renaissance, but does anyone else think ACT II will be called RODEO?

She says rodeo in several songs, and we know she teased Renaissance back in 2021 when she was promoting the Ivy Park Rodeo collection. It also makes sense with the rumors of country leaning tracks and the horse/cowboy hat on the cover.

I'm here for that :jonny5:

Wait for the rest of us :gaycat1:

when she pulls a Dua Lipa and put all 3 acts together and gets the biggest album on Spotify ever

Guys, do we think format is gonna be for example:

Renaissance

Renaissance: Act 2

Renaissance: Act 3

or

Renaissance

Something Different

Something Different

The way I understood it (when we first realized it was a multi-part project) is that it would all come under the umbrella of Renaissance. Much like Justin's 20/20 Experience. That way the sales for ALL parts count towards the overall performance of the project.

I'd be hella surprised if she really went the separate titles route and only linked them loosely verbally.

I think the "everything is called renaissance" is the tidiest and most "sales total" friendly. But I'd take either approach especially if she/her team do the work to MAKE SURE they all sell.

I'm so intrigued about her business backend. Are these three projects three separate albums contractually? Is this considered one album and all of the "acts" are merely marketing and a neat way of covering a range of genres? So interesting.

act i is always written before renaissance, but renaissance is written alone as well. so if there are more albums, they will be called something different

By the time she goes on tour, she will have 3 albums to cover, songs from The Gift album and even some EIL tracks she can play with. I think it's on purpose so she can retire some old songs from her setlists. She pretty much waved goodbye to most of her past songs with Homecoming when you think about it, she aint going to remix most of these old songs anymore after such a global visual project that is still on Netflix.

The next tour could pretty much officially make her a billionaire tbh. Especially if she tours every continent.

As we're pretty sure the 2nd act is a country album, I hope the 3rd one is gospel

she performed songs from EIL at OTR II. Apeshit, summer, nice, black effect

I wouldn't mind a bit of the gift, but i dont think anyone will miss it if she ignores it and focuses on the acts

Do the song's really sound radio-friendly to you? From the album's threads, comments call it experimental and not for the GP. :rip:

I never get when people say this about her albums immediately following the release. There was this same rhetoric around ST and even LEM despite the fact that HU, Sorry, 6 Inch, Freedom and even DL could've worked as perfect singles.

Similarly while this album is incredibly experimental and not in the least catered towards appeasing fickle GP appetites, there are still a number of songs that would easily lend themselves to be smash singles. In order of viability (imo): CUFF IT (this is literally a 7 week #1) > HEATED (would have legs on radio) = COZY (very likely to smash on Tiktok) > VIRGO's GROOVE (with a radio edit) > SUMMER RENAISSANCE.

There is even room for urban radio smashes with CHURCH GIRL, and maybe Hot AC with POTS. If Bey and Parkwood want this to be a commercial era, they have ample options to pick from.

In 6 hours for me. My current time is 18:22

It’ll drop midnight wherever you are! :WAP:

I’m not listening again until midnight but I still feel Thique, Pure/Honey, and Summer Renaissance in my bloodstream :jonny5:

The Gift doesn't deserve that 77 score on MC

Nor does 4 deserve that 73 score

Looks like Spotify is pushing Church Girl. For those who have listened to the album, is this a good choice? Respond vaguely and without spoiling.

They had no choice but to pick one so Im not mad at them. We wont know the definitive fan favorite until like Monday

Going to CD stores in my lunch break to see if I can snatch a copy on the spot tomorrow
