The horse shoe segment is definitely the best part of the show!! :jonny:

I'm not very sure about the outfit, I didn't like that all the details were just printed on her bodysuit rather than actual pieces. But I'm sure she's gonna change it up 739207319 more times throughout the tour so it's all good :dies:

Up to #8 in the US now. :clap3:

Thanks Lovett.

I thought it went higher. Surprised the opening show had more impact.

If only one song (Tyrant, Bodyguard, I'm looking at you) could be turned into a single.

she should have just named it Renaissance Act 2 to increase the tour gross :suburban:

She needs to turn on the screens at sofi. I've seen a lot of people mention it. Everyone is spending money to be there.

Woo!

yeah i honestly expected that segment to be more uneventful than it was, it was really cute !

but if she has to scrap something it better be the AT/JFF/Protector part and she better not touch anything renaissance related :biblio:

JFF has room for improvement, so it'd better not be this one. Besides, she didn't do the AT outro, unfortunately, which is one of the best parts of the song :chick3:

She won't cut these two songs though, they're related to the "who's cowboy Carter" storyline, which is also the most visually-pleasing interlude.

Act III
  1. "Alliigator Tears"
  2. "Just for Fun"
  3. "Protector" (with Rumi Carter) (includes elements of "Dangerously in Love")
  4. "Flamenco"
Act IV
  1. "Desert Eagle" (includes elements of "Partition")
  2. "Riiverdance"
  3. "II Hands II Heaven"
  4. "Sweet Honey Buckiin'" / "Pure/Honey" (includes elements of "Summer Renaissance" and "Tyrant")

I really struggled with these sections. I found the choreo really uninspired and the musical arrangements severely lacking. It also sounded like there was loud backing track overpowering her that I thought was so odd. The rest of the show was really great, but i'm just really confused by her choices here. why she would choose to spend so much time on cowboy carter's minor tracks, and perform songs from the end of the album early. idk these are my initial thoughts and i'm wondering if people felt the same

These two act fall on odd terms because of various reasons, especially song placement.

• "ALLIIGATOR TEARS" is fine, but it's followed by 3 least favorable songs, so naturally, it's being dragged down by the time the act is over.

• "JUST FOR FUN" is not easy to listen to on the album, for sure it should've been avoided live. She's cut other gems, or simply not performed incredible gems EVER, for far less.

• "PROTECTOR" should've been performing at the end of the show, along with "16 CARRIAGES" & "AMEN". For me, it's fits the overall theme she's trying to dive home with those two songs, but only 16C could work anywhere else in the setlist. The other two song have to be at the very beginning or the very end because they're driven by heartfelt emotions and not elaborate choreography and intense energy.

• "FLAMENCO" is cool, but just like AT, you're pretty much over the entire set when she finally reaches this song. Since she was in the mood for showing so much of the visuals, she could've tracked the song over an interlude and called it a day.

- One of the issues I believe she's experiencing with the live renditions is simply mixing the slower, sentimental songs into her usual heavy production and chore laced touring style. The his particular set could've benefited from being billed as an acoustic moment before the end of the show, because at this point in the show, the energy was too high.

• "DESERT EAGLE" is fine because there's not much she could've done with a one minute track, with nothing but a base line, even if it is a fan favorite.

• "RIIVERDANCE" had better energy than I expected it would, the audience seemed into the first half of the song. But the end, the band or backing track was insanely too loud and the horn section sounded pitchy. That's definitely something she seemed to catch, because you could see her energy changed.

• "II HAND II HEAVEN" DID MOT NEED A PIVK OF CHOREO! Whoever came up with this routine needs to be immediately fired. It looks a hot ass mess, even she look stiff and restricted by her suit doing the dance on the last chorus. IF there just had to be something for the dancers to do to validate their pay even more, they should've simply rehashed the idea from "HAUNTED" at TMCSWT. All she needed was a mic stand, some lights, some backing visuals and send the girls out there to do some sensual moves around her, accenting her at the mic, not that goofy axx dance she's doing.

• "SWEET/HONEY/HONEY/SUMMER RENAISSANCE/BUCKIN" is literal majestic, it's so unfortunate it's trapped in such a horrid scheme that Todd setup! Literally, one of the highlights of show for me. Even tho there's still some slight choreo discrepancies, they aren't huge deal breakers like the predecessor routine.

- Though there's issues here, they can easily be addressed and acknowledged over time, because this set can't be token out the show like the previous set can, literally ripped right out the show and replaced. It's not as bad and there's some set with major kinks, but there's nothing to worry about unless she continues on with IIHIIH as is.

People, why are we not discussing her tour outfits?

This might be unpopular but I liked the performance for Daughter and I think it worked.

I actually liked the LED dress and I liked how it switched colors during certain parts of the performance.

Someone here said she looked nervous and I kind of agree.

But I think as time passes it will definitely get better and she must be SCORCHING underneath that thing :deadbanana2:

I like the concept of the LED dress, but it's so bulky

Who was the member that said the horseshoe was a U-thingy?

:deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana:

The way I shrieked with laughter.

I need more emotion on her face during Daughter. If you turned the audio off you would have absolutely no idea what she was singing about :jonny2:

But that's such a small critique for a pop star literally singing OPERA on tour :cm:

They're mostly good! I think the ballad one is my favorite, with the opening one slightly behind.

The last two are kinda bad ngl I hope she changes them come Thursday.

Nothing feels like an instant classic to me like the nude bodysuit or bee costume from the RWT. At least not yet.

One thing I noticed is that she's not showing as much skin as usual. There's a bit of cleveage and a bit of leg here and there but she had a lot of fits where she was fully covered. I find that interesting and curious if it will persist throughout the tour.
