I don't think so. Ulta doesn't release specific sales figures for the brands they carry. If a brand doesn't perform they will just stop carrying it in the store.

I don't see how any of what you said relates specifically to Beyoncé. It can be applied to any public figure who is seen as opposing the right-wing agenda. I haven't seen beyoncé be especially targeted or scapegoated by the right. I would say she's actually less likely to be targeted than other celebrities who are much more vocal about their political stances. Have you heard of Bella Hadid? She's vocal about Palestine, and I'm certain she gets attacked by the right on a daily basis.

 

I'm concerned about us promoting the idea that Beyoncé is a target for the right. I think it victimizes her unnecessarily. Beyoncé remains financially and culturally powerful, and there is no need to create a fictional hate campaign out of thin air that doesn't exist. There's rather a stronger argument that she could do more to oppose ring-wing ideals. For example, she doesn't speak candidly about the attacks LGBT people are facing—like Gaga did at the Grammys. I LOVE Beyoncé and will defend her when I feel she needs defending, but this convo has descended into delulu stan territory.

You can't tell Beyoncé how to speak. She speaks up on issues that deal with black people especially black women.. and gets the kind of attack not even someone like gaga can relate to.

Beyoncé has spoken about gay and trans issues in the way SHE can. There is confusion about her position.

I get your concern, but the idea that Beyoncé isn't a right-wing target just doesn't hold up. The backlash to her country album alone proves that, conservatives dismissed her and framed her as an outsider, just like they did with Lil Nas X. And this isn't new; the right has been attacking her for years, from the Super Bowl backlash to branding her as the face of "woke culture." Saying she isn't a target because she's powerful ignores how white supremacy operates; her status can only protect her for so long.

 

Also, the attacks on her have escalated, with conspiracy theories going from online fringe "Illuminati" nonsense to full-blown accusations that she killed Aaliyah and it being on mainstream television.  Rewarding someone who spreads that is far more dangerous and SINISTER than the booing of Taylor Swift because they were upset she didn't support trump lol. This fits a larger historical pattern of Black artists being discredited, just look at what happened to Nina Simone and the government surveillance of her. Calling it out isn't victimizing Beyoncé or being delusional, it's necessary. And that goes across the board. Pointing out the outright lies is going to be vital going forward for everyone.
