I know it was likely discussed but I missed it.  Any thoughts or theories on why the custom license plate in the Netflix teaser says 1967 instead of 1981?

I did find this, and the Detroit race riots were in 1967.

How ******* crazy is it that most of the Bey songs are exactly 4 (!) positions apart :rip::jonny: thats some crazy Voodoo!

spotify does this, lol. I remember in 2022 my Top 16 should have been all RENAISSANCE but Spotify Wrapped put them all 4 songs apart :deadbanana4:

Love that for us! To be fair, the top 2 wouldn't have made it to their spots if I hadn't played them so much prior to CC's release but I do love them.

RENAISSANCE still feels so fresh. Last night I played it at 4AM and I was just so joyful with no particular reason (apart from listening to it)

It's already a classic  :jonny5:

We're gonna have two premieres for Mufasa, next Monday in LA and London on Wednesday. She might skip it with her main focus being the halftime show, but maybe Blue is gonna show up with Tina?

So she's pulling a Star Wars and telling the story in reverse? Ugh her mind.

At least it's not something blasted all over the actual news

it kinda is tho. the daily mail wrote about bey being a streaming flop yesterday, billboard's two faced ass review did more damage than good, variety is always up to gag her ass since Ren, social media is even fuller than usual with the "i hate her" / "she's so overrated" narrative.

Guys, I need your help.

I have a close friend/flatmate - who is willing to learn about Bey and go on a B journey with me. However, he doesn't like stuff "explained".

The goal is to build up to experiencing Lemonade. (and then the act's ofc). But where do I start telling the story?

My idea is to start with I am yours at Vegas - since Bey tells her story in it. And take it from there. Do you guys have any ideas?

I'm thinking - I Am Yours at Vegas, followed by something from 4 (suggest something) and then ST drop (and the bts)

To note, he will not sit through it all. Not even all of ST. So I have to pick and choose. I cannot do too many documentaries either. But I want him to understand who B is and her journey! The themes in her music, her commercial days, her feminism, hate, mindset, etc. Bey is a "real" one in many ways - and I want that to be communicated. Friend is a musician (from Asia) btw.

On another note. I do feel there is an increased Bey hate train going on. And this narrative of her being a numbers and streaming flop as well. I don't really care... when people doubt B, it lights a fire within her. So I hope it just means she ensures her next projects become streaming smashes xD

OH THANK GOD! Didn't need bad press for SIRDAVIS. I was actually surprised; a lot of bars here in Chicago's north side have it. It's so good! I still haven't mustered up the funds to spend $104.99 on it, though. :foxaylove2:

I was thinking, what if instead of announcing a act III or a tour she just drops a deluxe with maybe a remix and 2-3 new tracks? I do feel like the album is already VERY long so a deluxe seems unlikely, but at the same time they already said that this will be the first time she performs cowboy carter songs, so i don't feel like she would announce or drop anything that would steal the attention from the performance (and the album)... so it's either a remix/deluxe situation or nothing at all imo. The visuals would make sense too but we know they're probably coming after act III (If they see the light of day :rip:)

Cowboy Carter tour will be kicking off in AZ next year (most likely)

The hate train has been ongoing for decades atp. People throw everything and the kitchen sink at Bey. I think a lot of it is people projecting their own inadequacies onto to her. But that's another convo. The thing is that she has nothing left to prove. Of course she always proves people wrong because they always are dead wrong. And she's just that girl. But me personally as a fan I've made peace with the fact that some people are going to innately hate her because of who she is and what she stands for. And nothing can or will change that. Even a hit album on streaming won't. Some nut job will just accuse her of witchcraft to dismiss its success. They already do. :rip:So I don't focus on that. I focus on her art and show her love in my own way for how it has impacted me.
