I felt the same, and her song is the official campaign track for Kamala.  I'm curious if she'll perform at the DNC - I can only imagine Kamala's team is working that up, along with Taylor and probably Charli/Chappell

it likely won't win (and wouldn't be my personal pick though i would definitely nominate it), but you're clearly out of touch. BRAT is literally the most acclaimed album of the year and having a cultural moment to the point of being used in the presumptive democratic nominee's campaign - the impact goes far beyond "atrl gay teens." It's managed to sustain this hype since it dropped back in early June (honestly since 360 dropped a month earlier, but I'll concede that at first that was limited to queer circles)

I'm very upset that Beyonce made FLAMENCO and DESERT EAGLE so short.  She needs to call Solange for the remix of 'Desert Eagle' since she's a stan and we can kill about 4 birds with one song. 

 

I want to have hope for AOTY but I don't see it happening. However, the fact that CC isn't performing as well as RENAISSANCE and doesn't have a tour it could work in her favor. The committee only has the music to go off of, nothing else. 

 

Now if her dumbass shows up and they play on her face again, that's on her. She really needs to stop going but I understand why she does it.

I still hope Cowboy Carter wins AOTY so we can finally move on from the tired-dead-and-buried narrative.

Well Charli actually got out of bed and made sure the people knew she liked her job so I don't like her or her album but if it won any major awards over CC I would not be surprised

ST didn't win and it had a similar, more impactful album cover and was by far the most impactful album nominated and still lost.

 

Renaissance is a superior dance album and still lost.

 

Now, if Beyoncé is going to continue to poor ZERO effort into the promotion of her albums she deserves to lose. But the goal post moving is really getting ridiculous

I finally listened to Brat a couple days ago and, even though it's a fun album, I don't get the hype tbh. I'm still rooting for Cowboy Carter to win AOTY.

Neither brat or CC are winning AOTY. Billie has that on lock. I'm still confused why Hive even cares for the Shammys though in 2024. It has to be a form of masochism...
