It's not often I get moved by music but I'm not too proud to admit that this album has definitely got a few tears out of me.

I mean I havent stopped gushing about my love for Blackbird, but having read that I think Paul McCartney wrote it because he got inspired by a black woman demonstrating during the civil rights movement... and for Bey to be singing it now, and so beautifully, and adding Tanner and the others.. my God, im literally crying every single time I hear the song

Even in AMERIICAN REQUIEM, the American does have the II but the Requiem doesn't.

 

Also, OH LOUISIANA doesn't. Which at first I thought was because it was a location so she thought it better to not adapt the name, but then I remembered she did do it to the word American.

Lol when I first listened via vpn I used a custom scrobbler to add the songs to my last fm and got Requiem's spelling wrong multiple times because I didn't know where the i's were supposed to go. She made me feel illiterate

Bey really has us expanding our vocabulary lol. I recall when Renaissance was announced as the album title that word was kicking the hive's ass lol I saw so many people misspelling it.

I'm cautiously excited about the potential of the tour. 

 

The-Dream and dancer posts are interesting, but playing devil's advocate, they could be taken in more general terms too. 

 

I just want a live...something.

 

What's so great about Bey is that there are so many options: a tour, a residency, her own festival, or a pop-up concept similar to what Adele is doing in Munich.

While a slightly taboo topic, Bey is looking in more live/tour shape of late based on those Japan clips. In following Bey and other divas like Janet over the years, it usually is a pretty tried and true sign of a tour. But again, could just be conjecture/wishful thinking.
