I never expected this to be a box office hit if we're being honest. People aren't rabid about Bey the way they used to be.

I think if it does $15M, that would be great atp. Her main selling point is herself and she barely even showed that. We didn't even get an IG post with the pics from the red carpet.

I just realized that the Reneigh box office numbers literally match the first day streams. It did 18M US and 43M globally

This isn't one of those films that's going to increase weekend after weekend through word of mouth so I'm surprised they aren't going all out for opening weekend.

Guess she still had something to prove when there were thousands of unsold "limited edition" vinyls a week before the album came out and she posted that IG story with the quickness

 

Not surprised bey was my top artist this year. But I was sure alien superstar would be my #1 song and instead it was a 2018 song by mahalia.  And I’m shocked.

Bey was also my favorite artist this year!

I don't know if she's ever been my top artist two years in a row. Proof of the longevity of this album (or proof that she managed to drag an era with NOTHING but a tour)

The fact that I only listen to the album in order makes the top a bit lackluster! (Could you imagine hearing Heated right after Pure/Honey? Jumpscare.)

But I do know that for a while I was always playing the Wetter Remix before diving into the full album, hence the top placement!
