Friday's already fully booked in Paris but they already added a screening at... 2AM??

It seems like they're really adamant on NOT showing the film throughout the whole month... What even is the plan??

* Are we really the visual, baby? Lol. Was kinda holding out for some kind of pre-release tease of what they were working on at the very least.

 

* The movie will slay because the tour slayed and we will get our lives, but it still feels kinda Homecoming in that this format is identical. I'm used to Bey innovating and upping the ante. I guess, for this, it's simply the idea of debuting in theaters. 

 

* Lastly, for the love of all things good, can SHE PUT KEY INFO IN HER CAPTION! Ugh. 

 

I've literally learned this academically when it comes to communications: you have to break your audience/reader/viewer down to their most basic. Assume you only have a portion of their attention that you must snatch! People have short attention spans, so some will keep scrolling after x seconds. Which is why literally using this caption should be a given: "Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce in theaters Globally on Dec 1st. Tickets available via BeyonceFilm.com"

Nah. Feb is way too close (for **another** theatrical release). She'll dilute interest. Especially as RWT film is contractually set to run for *at least* four weeks. 

 

IMO, a streaming release for the visuals (if they're still coming) is the only reasonable/time-smart way of going about it. 

 

This current tour film will almost certainly go on streaming following its theatrical run, she can basically tack on the "visuals" as a streaming exclusive along with it and do a dual drop of sorts. 

 

Bey fans are not TS fans. We're grown with responsibilities etc and show up for her when it's most important to (album sales, tour, this movie, etc). If she starts to blur the lines between what's important or makes her important drops too close together, she'll dilute her commercial potency.

 

If anything, I'm moreso concerned/intrigued about how she'll be able to line-up a visual component for Act 2 (if it really is a new album) because of how much Act 1 "activity" will be going on as we close out 2023.

 

 Oversaturation is a concern for me, but I think she could pull off a Q1/Q2 launch for Act 2. It'll be close to the RWT Film, but with enough sonic and marketing point of difference from Rennie, she could actually harness the hype from this release and pour it into what's next. Hopefully, this film has some kind of tease for whatever is next up.

But I saw that there are screening in other Pathé cinémas in Paris on her website! Maybe there's one even closer to your place...

It won't change a thing, you'll still be surrounded by die-hard fans and it's not like Beyoncé is gonna make a speech at Le Grand Rex we all know that.

Actually you're right. There are two Pathé running it close to home. Grand Rex would have been a flex but I will actually see it sooner at 19h30.
