I think it’s quite genius what Beyonce is doing by using the moon for her imagery. Symbolically, the moon never stays the same it’s always changing forms and cycles, it is actually a metaphor on how life is a constant changing cycle, we are never the same person. By using the waning gibbous moon on tour, that symbolically represents gratitude and giving thanks which she constantly reiterates.

I will say that the Church Girl performance really hit it’s stride in the Houston shows where she wore the sequin boots and actually moved and worked the camera. It gave the

performance the life it really was needing. Wish she would’ve performed it like that the whole time.

im biased and feel like KC had the best one - obviously she had like the entire rest of the tour to find her stride, but idk something about her energy that night really made Church Girl pop and made the message really click
