In knowing that the visuals are coming, while also taming my delusion, and simply working solely with the evidence available, I'm bracing for:

Sis really said 'y'all gonna get this sh*t one piece at a time. (Album - Tour - Visuals / Rinse & Repeat for the Coming Acts?).

At this point, there literally would be no point of any kind of announcement til the last US date. Announcing or dropping any new material before then will only create expectations for those remaining few dates. Expectation that she will, without a care in the world, do absolutely nothing with.

More realistically, I can see her finishing up the tour. Using the end hype to announce 2024 dates. Either the visuals and / or act 2 will come sometime between Q4 2023 to Q1 2024 as the sole "promo" for the next leg. And that will be that.

Most things I've made peace with (e.g. Bey modeling her latter career on the mainstream appeal of MJ and the anti-approach of Prince). However, speaking purely as a consumer, I just can't see how she'd think the Rennie visuals possibly coming in 2024 will see them have any kind of resonance. If there wasn't the essential guarantee that they will slay, it's now at a point where it's like...what is the point.

Holding out hope that there's some big "ah-ha" moment that makes this make a lil more sense.

As long as its an interesting stand alone piece of work, thats the point. It generating buzz is not dependent on new music, just as Homecoming wasn't

Even when BIK was revealed I don't recall this notion of it not mattering because the music is old. The film wasn't huge (being on a newly launched Disney+ didn't help) but it did make noise... more then anything the content/quality of the visuals is what will carry engagement.

And who told you this?

B00Ts hasn't had any major output since 2016 anywhere or for anyone... I think he went through a rough personal patch. He's now married and has a kid (I think).

Why is Me, Myself and I randomly so high on Apple Music?

I think the visuals are "inside of her mind", like the tour references throughout the show.

I think the screaming "let me out of here" in both ITG and Move isn't a reaction to her being in a trunk, it's referencing her mind, and she feels trapped.  Her and the dollhouse, she's observing herself, outside of herself.

I wouldn't be surprised if the robot references aren't about her celebrity status, too.  Look at Break My Soul, which we don't know exactly what the song is about, it's likely it could be about her role as a celebrity and entertainer.  She also says on tour that the show is about having fun, and isn't about perfection, she's way more laid back, and relaxed.

The different ACTS could be the different "versions", or personas of her, or her personality, with Rennie being fierce, carefree, fun...  Could also explain the discontinuation of the ACT I tour, and resuming the tour in 2024.

There's a trend going viral on TikTok, apparently.

just saw a reel about Whitney and somebody in the comments asked if anyone comes close to her these days… about 100 replies and not a single person brought up Bey :rip: someone said Ariana and another one replied "No, Adele is better than her”… :deadbanana4:

@Beyoncé this is all your fault hag

I know people complain about chart hive but her vocals and catalog are two arguments against Bey that grate my soul!

There's so many music discussions I've heard and seen where there's a general consensus,  no matter how wrong, that  Beyonce is talented but has a weak catalog and not much hits. It's easy for people to forget, she intentionally removed herself from the charts for years.

He said some shady **** following ST era. I’m over him too. And he seems desperate to recapture relevancy and that’s why he plays into the Hive on social media by making suggestive comments, leaking songs & acting like he’s still relevant in Bey’s world.

I’ve never heard anyone says she had a weak catalogue. You made that up. Not when she has the most Grammys and over half her catalogue has had AOTY consideration. That doesn’t even make sense.

Do we have any insight on how Renaissance and the “singles” have performed thus far? Did it scan 1M pure in the US? I feel like I stopped hearing updates around November of last year lol

Why would I make that up? lol  Have you been in a bubble? They will say x artist has the hits but Beyonce is the better performer. (rihanna, katy, taylor, etc)

You don't have to go far to find that very argument happening right now. I didn't say they were accurate, I'm stating when you haven't had a major hit in 14 years and mostly been MIA on the charts, it's easy for people to forget what you have done.  And I'm not even going to touch the grammy topic. That's a nuanced discussion.

What you're saying here is different than your other post claiming there's a consensus opinion that Beyonce has a weak catalogue which isn't true...reality nor perception wise outside of a bonafide hater stance. In fact, some of those "hitmakers" are known to have weak full length albums outside of the hits. And Beyonce was without a #1 song for 14 years...however...she was not without a hit. So nobody has known a Beyonce song since Single Ladies?  See you Charthive lack nuance outside of being obsessed with artists 10 years her junior, industry wise.

Edited by giRLbye.

Honestly, if anyone says that their favorite Beyoncé song is a random album track like Hello, they should be deeply respected for that opinion

Honestly engage with the GP and people will have all kinds of opinions. I think the discog thing comes from her singles, which aren't as well known the last decade compared to popular acts. And/Or are way more polarising with songs like Formation versus her more digestible pop days

The irony of speaking of naunce but then putting the bold exaggerated statement into their mouth :rip:

Across the 2010s Bey probably only had 1 or maybe 2 big global radio hits. That's not a lot in a decade and thus easy for casual listeners to loose sense of her discog. I think that was the point. Not that " nobody has known a Beyonce song since Single Ladies"
"when you haven't had a major hit in 14 years and mostly been MIA on the charts, it's easy for people to forget what you have done"

I was expecting Amazon Music to tease the final drop today. Maybe they are going back to the 4 weeks interval

I think it's you all that lack nuance and you are misinterpreting my point.  Beyonce is Beyonce, we've established she can flop to eternity and still be considered one of the best. This has nothing to do with the quality of an album even though they all have been underappreciated, hence no aoty wins. That's a whole other topic.

And yes, if you ask a casual fan they would probably say Drunk in Love was Beyonce's last hit. I don't even see why we are arguing this lol.

I believe there is a consensus brewing on the internet and music discussion boards that Beyonce doesn't have the catalogue in comparison to other artists. It's simple as that and it's a topic that has been on going outside of this base for years. I've already seen it discussed on radio, tiktok, podcasts,   etc.  Even if I know they are wrong, the perception has been  made that she hasn't had a hit in years and her music has gotten even better in that timespan. There's a clear disconnect.

For example, I don't remember if it was tank or michael eric dyson who were arguing on behalf of Beyonce and the counterarguments were she doesn't have as many hits to be all time best. Another recent one is Andrew Schulz, clearly ignorant opinion however it's a sentiment I've seen expressed a lot regarding her hits. They would never say that about another artist (weak albums or not)

Radio is not the only metric for success...Beyonce of all ppl demonstrates this.

The easiest solution is to simply not care what other people think about her :cm:

Particularly that Andrew guy... like why am I gonna put stock in what he thinks about her abilities or her discography?

The consensus is the voices in your head coming together to speak. Even an echo chamber like ATRL doesn't even believe Beyonce's catalogue is weak.

I know people, including myself, who can't name 3 Taylor songs if $1 million dollars was being offered. do i start saying that's a consensus opinion?

LOL, I gave two real life examples and there's plenty more. Sure it's in my head.
