For all we know she can do it very messy. I don’t know why we always assume she’s innocent :deadbanana4: Knowing how messy and last minute Parkwood can be, I can see Ashley not being told of her involvement/lack there of until she saw her former dance team members posting in Paris. Giving LeToya and LaTavia not knowing they were fired until seeing the Say My Name video on BET :gaycat1:

What were the other times?

:eatpopcorn:

The first one I remember was like a couple years after Beychella when people claimed Bey wasn't paying her dancers enough (I remember Hive was going back and forth with Bug a Boo Rocket from Homecoming), she liked a post from some dance alliance group that made it seem like she was agreeing about not being paid enough.

The 2nd was from earlier this month:

This was the 2nd slide in the post, I went to find it and she wasn't in the likes anymore so assuming she unliked it.

I understand why she would be frustrated for not being asked back, but where is the professionalism? Bey literally plucked her out of school and gave her a giant career. You'd think she'd move on graciously.

right... like if she wants to continue working in the industry, she shouldn't be shitting on her former employer of over 10 years like that, regardless of how messy Bey's camp might have ended their professional relationship. if they did her wrong, she needs to come out and say it. none of this snarky, subliminal bs.

IIRC, they were extras that wanted to be paid the same rate as talent. Like bffr. And Bug a Boo Rocket was bitter because the other dancers from Beychella were invited back for the Ivy Park campaign and he was left out

Yep, I remember it that way too, but of course the average social media loser didn’t bother to read into the details and took it as an opportunity to drag Bey per usual.

I have a hard time believing someone like Ashley whose been dancing for her since she was a teen would stick around all these years just to remain underpaid. I have nothing to say regarding Bug a Boo Rocket other than I wish N**mani never dated his loser ass :coffee2:

I wonder if this whole Ashley mess thing is just a sign of messy situation behind the scene...who knows what else has been happening and ashley situation might be just a consequence of a general mess...perhaps this is why we have not had any visuals yet and potential delays...as in-things going bad behind the scene.

Wasn't Ashley part of the Be Alive performance? Seems like Bey was already quite gracious with her.

The Ashley thing is...interesting.

It's definitely messy and IMO ill-thought-out. Bey, though not above critique, is still in her prime and isn't defined by any one creative team. Hence why she's clearly cleaned house and is pressing forward with fresh energy. She's done it a few times, from choreographers to business folk, etc. It's actually not new.

In an industry where the girls aren't even dancing like that-that (thus meaning there aren't "as" many gigs to dance at the level she has been, it's really illogical for Ashley to run the risk of blacklisting herself by so visibly making clear that she's not here for Bey.

Again, it's not beyond the breadth of belief that things aren't as "tidy" with Bey's backend business-wise (which is the case with more artists than we know).

But I really (REALLY!) refute the idea that Ashley needed to know that she wasn't booked for the tour in any formalized capacity - unless she was salaried by Parkwood. Which almost certainly wasn't the case.

Dancers are work for hire, no matter how many times they are rebooked for the same artist. So, Bey has absolute freedom, both creatively and more crucially as a business person, to work with whoever she wants and switch people out as she chooses. For all we know, she may be angling for a whole different look and feel to her ish that Ashley's skillset doesn't align with. To me, this is no different to her moving on from The Mamas. There's nothing personal to it.

Similarly, unless Ashley was tied to some kind of restrictive contract (which I doubt given the mass of other work she does), she was not obligated to keep returning to dance for Bey. I'm not here for the idea of constantly returning to a gig WILLFULLY only to start dragging aspects (such as pay) when things don't go one's way (aka the situation now).

I leave room for there being key info we don't know that may change the overall look of the situation. but from the outside looking in, it's giving pressed. It's a natural human emotion, but there's no way I (in her position) would be caught acting out publicly when it could affect my next check.

It's quite literally giving "first time I said no, it's like I never said yes" and I find those kinds of people THE most irritating. Ashley is one THEE most visible names in dance (to the mainstream, even non-dance audience) and, not even being shady,  but it's not on the merit of her ability (alone). It's unquestionably the Bey association. Most artists don't even allow their supporting talent to be so frontwards facing. Ego and drama are always the end result (seeL Gaga / Lauriann), but Bey and Parkwood were quite active in pushing Ashley to the forefront. Or at least allowed it (if it was driven by her) and that shouldn't be discounted or disregarded by her.

I think it's because they start to believe they're her friend, but they never were. Bey treats them kindly and graciously, inviting them to parties, etc, but once they no longer work there they're cut off forever unless they're Ty or someone like that. I understand why it hurts, but lashing out like a child isn't going to fix it.

She seems closed off now more than ever so I could see Bey not letting Ashley know personally and after like 17 years together that must suck.

Danielle Polanco was also a bitter *****. Ashley gives me the same vibes right now.

Tbh I'm not sure pointing out how she has numerous disgruntled ex-employees is the best defense :rip:

I think your theory could be true. I doubt Bey has any malicious intentions when she cuts those people off, but it can most definitely come across as heartless/shady/rude. Especially for someone like Ashley. I think Ashley being with Bey for SOOO long and potentially not even getting a call saying "thank you for your work but we will be moving on" is even more hurtful than a random one-off dancer.

I saw someone say Ashley should be careful to not ruin her reputation acting messy publicly like that, but Bey needs to be careful too. It's not like she won't ever not be able to hire people but there is definitely mumblings of Bey/her camp not handling their contractors amazingly (whether it be dancers or designers or whatever).

Why. Bey gave this people huge platforms, it's not a job for life. They slate her, but lbr they would run back if asked.

they can be pissed all they want. dont think bey or jay dont have the power to make sure shes only going to dance for chloe or camilla cabello in the future. shes only hurting herself with these actions
