For her best album, this has been the least enjoyable era as a fan. Thank god the album stands on its own feet. Parkwood need to get their **** together

We dont talk enough about how #AntiTidalHive was right about everything. And how #KissAssHive was wrong. We have always said that she just needed to put the album on streaming to see success, no major promo needed. That’s exactly what is happening now with Renaissance. 
Hold Up couldve been the Cuff It of Lemonade and the album wouldve still been charting like her fellow 2016 smashas.

I think Marni didn’t answer those texts because she most likely changed her number. That’s my best guess because we all know her and her team wouldn’t do this on purpose. She has been in the business and working with Bey on and off for basically 20 years. She knows this would reflect badly on Bey.
Whatever miscommunication happened, they need to do a facetime and resolve it. The guy doesn’t even seem to be asking for much. Just give him a check to shut him up. He’s basically risking his career against the most powerful stylist in the world, he didn’t do this just for clout.

I still don’t believe them. Parkwood might mismanage expectations but they do not mismanage money. Marni should post a redacted copy of the cleared check and call it a day. 

And if/when she does, the trash talkers and detractors will shake Parkwood down over the next thing. 

 

It Marni hadn't of said the bit she did, the designer wouldn't have had to backtrack and revise their story. The story would have traveled even further.

She says she sent the check. If Marni posts receipts of the check being sent, or even confirmation of it being cashed, then what? Another designer gets the attention they ordered and people are going to take sides regardless. Parkwood and Hive will then have to prepare for the next round of ethics and stealing accusations.

 

I'm more likely to believe Marni over this guy. Especially with them partially confirming Marni's collection of events.

This has happened to Marni before. I remember there was a designer who said they were owed some change. And iirc Marni responded with the same “it’s sad you’re going with it this way”

Marni has way too much to lose to do this on purpose, so I believe it’s just a miscommunication. But she also has a team and one of her interns could’ve ****** up too. But the blame deservedly falls on her. Marni & Co are obviously extremely busy right now, someone could’ve forgotten to send the check or the check couldve gotten lost in the mail. There are many reasonable explanations.

However, I don’t think it’s fair to absolve Parkwood from any wrongdoing until this is resolved. That team needs to make sure all their Is are dotted and Ts crossed.

just because Bey has given many people lots of opportunities and exposure doesn’t absolve her from paying the remaining fees. This isn’t the first time Marni has been accused of this. Im sure it’s all a misunderstanding but regardless the blame falls on Beyoncé. She is the boss. Marni also designs for Ivy Park but Bey gets all the credit. You get the good and the bad.

America has a problem has so much meme/viral potential... those "no!"s are waiting for someone to come up with the right idea for a trend and we got ourselves another hit. Who would've thought Beyonce at 41 would benefit so much from tiktok?

Honestly, I’ve never liked Marni and her stupid “aesthetic”, she’s done a decent job at putting things together but only after Beyoncé gives the theme. Like for Lemonade it was all antebellum. She’s too try hard with the oversized clothing, the stupid top knot and ridiculous poses, it’s not style, it’s cosplay. Also jumping to work with the Kardashians and a TV show ironically called “Hype” which is all it is. I can see her getting a budget and keeping a chunk to herself.
 

It looks like it was probably just 10K that’s owed at most….$7,500 for an item that was on the cover of a huge album… it seems a bit low. He did get a Vogue interview but only after it came out and he was identified. Marni can credit everyone in the British Vogue shoot and the Video Teaser,  but not the album shoot?

Vogue interviewed him a month after the album cover came out. It was released on June 30th, the Vogue Article on Aug. 2nd. 
 

 

I preferred Zerina as Beyoncé’s stylist to be honest. She did an amazing job with BIK. Not a huge fan of marni and I’ve heard she’s not easy to work with. 
 

All these scandals are so messy. They’re really dropping the ball. Didn’t they recently reshuffle their staff? Not the creative team but the business side? I don’t know who is messing up here but it’s…messy.

I don't think he he has issue with Bey. He was just saying that its not like the exposure is compensating for lack payment/communication, because hasnt been credited publicly by her/her team in order to benefit from it.

And now all of the lemonade promo performsnces and film are locked on that dead platform lmao. I wish that film hit Netflix during the hype of Homecoming. it would've given a strong  start to Lem on streaming.
