It sounds A LOT like Petals for armor, especially Cinnamon (both songs are actually in the same key). I like it, cause I liked Hayley's solo material... but I don't see the point of having two separate projects if they end up sounding so similar

It's giving Medulla with the short songs, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I am feeling optimistic about the album, Atopos is more accessible than 95% of utopia and I'm in desperate need of that Bjork. Still, the lack of melodies might be here to stay. As someone was saying that second verse is basically her talking. Idk, when I first heard Atopos I thought it sounded like 4 minutes of adlibs. We'll see what the rest of the album has in store for us

What if the horse is the element tying the trilogy together? Imagine act ii's cover giving a completely different vibe with Bey's look, makeup and general aesthetic but with the horse still being there, not all sparkly and made of crystals but taking a different form. And the same happening for act iii. (Tbh I'm still not completely sold on the whole 3 full albums thing, I just don't want to be disappointed, I just wish we got some kind of official confirmation)

Lowkey expecting something like that, maybe with a few interpolations of other songs from her catalogue (I can't see her passing on the chance of doing a Thique/Partition medley, a Honey/Blow medley and maybe a Naughty Girl/Summer Renaissance medley) plus a couple of classics, maybe throw in Crazy in Love, Single Ladies and Halo because we know she would not retire that song in a billion years, and that's it

Anyway I'm out, I don't want to fill the base with spoilers for those who are waiting till friday. Yall are heroes, I wish I could have your patience... I even had a whole evening planned with a friend of mine coming over on friday just to have our first listen together (we haven't seen each other for years) but we both caved

Yeah but I mean, with Lemonade and The Gift we got a clear reference with visuals, symbolism and general look and feel, and all of that added to the experience of those two albums' concepts. With this one, I still feel we're missing a piece of the puzzle... but maybe it's just because I'm very visual-oriented and I always like to have a sort of moodboard to associate with every era. Anyway, I'm sure something is coming, maybe not a full film but... something.
