Sales is a more important indication of the success and longevity of an era. Reaching #1 is all hype and timing. Imagine reaching #1 on the BB200 and Hot100 but not scanning platinum :skull: A second single will give life to this seemingly dead era.

and if it doesn't...thats fine. Beyonce has 2 more Acts to go. she doesn't need to milk this one if her goal was already accomplished. a #1 is a #1 and Beyonce got it on both charts.

she's on a yacht right now...not giving af about any of this discourse or strategy

It's pointless to release music that people won't be checking out though. She needs to see this one out first before worrying about the next one. Your previous era + lead single determines the success of your next era. Act I up until this point has been uneventful so unless she has a really strong lead single, she's not scraping 200k first week with Act II.

since yall clearly don't understand --

i'm talking about in terms of the success of this era...if there's no other chart achievement to come beyond having a #1 single AND #1 album then that is fine. Beyonce does not NEED to have some sort of Teenage Dream era or even IASF era. The era is already a success. As far as 2nd single...it will come when it comes...we're not in the pre-release stage...we have the FULL ALBUM at our convenience. What sense does it make to for people to be pulling out their hair over "where's the 2nd single!!11!!" Just open your streaming account & press play.

i know she's releasing visuals & vinyls...cool...but if they don't move the needle on the charts...that is fine too.

I can't imagine they're spending all of this money with hopes they don't recoup some of it...

Y'all acting like selling some copies, or trying to, is a bad thing

What do you think funds the visuals, recording studios, tracks, album art

Some of you need to log off, go outside (you ain't that outside lately, I can tell), and touch some grass. I know your dopamine is crashing after the initial excitement around release week and BMS hitting #1, but let's just appreciate the absolutely flawless music she gave us. Beyoncé told everyone that the purpose of this album is for people to find joy and release the wiggle. You were not instructed to release dissertations on album marketing :rip:

This is what I’ve been saying since day one! The album won’t be as impacted from the visuals as it would have had in the beginning. And with no second single, it won’t do anything for the charts either.

Thats my point: Why shoot these incredibly expensive projects only for them to be crippled by such bad management?

This is not 2012, the world is not "waiting" for a Beyonce release. The fans, yea sure, but the GP? They move on so so quickly. They dont await these MVs or the film or whatever just because the name "Beyonce" is attached to it.

Why not release them in segments according to the segmentation of the vinyls? Why not release a second single? Why not increase playlisting? Why not pay influencers to promote the record for u (something any big company does to keep their brands intact). No one asks her to go from show to show, but this nonsense is just idiotic and moronic

Some transparency would have prevented the confusion/frustration, but instead it's random cliquebait teasing and games from the 'Where is the Formation Tour DVD?' merch chanteuse to artificially stir up hype. The main driver of the rollout was based on hype the past 3 months with the gimmicky social media blackout, Instagram bio announcements (like what in the world), and what is a b7? corny website glitches. Like idec if the visuals drop 5 months from the album, it's just the 'I don't want no hype' contradiction and random trolling. :bibliahh:

people WILL be checking for it though...especially with how well Renaissance has been received musically. many of yall were shook & nervous about how the possibility of any type of B7 was going to be received following TG & EIL and look where we are thus far. she doesnt need yall advice. yall have been proven wrong before.

Beyonce knows what her costs were & where she's at financially and right now she's on a yacht...not promoting. i don't think Hive needs to make it their business to be concerned about her finances.

Influencers (like Kylie Jenner) are the only people promoting the album at his point :lmao:

GIRL....it was "next level" according to Yvonne.

In all honesty I really think they start out with great ideas however the execution is always fumbled somehow. Everything up to the tracklisting reveal was great then it seems like they dropped the  ball from there. Other artists ( I notice) pick up on what they started and do it to perfection with their teams.

I'm not even mad with the rollout because I lived for the drama. It revived this dead base with the thinkpieces and meltdowns. And we also got Top Off > BMS and how she's pregnant and in need of palliative care. :bibliahh:

The inevitable tour will recoup the album cost several times over.

I guess folks in here will only start caring when her tour numbers decline as well.

beyonce has an established reputation as an entertainer...her tours are not dependent on a current hit or album. thats already been proven.

there's senior artists who haven't had a hit since before Beyonce debuted & have sold out shows

Exactly!!! OTRII already didn't sell as well as it could've. They didn't even sell out her hometown :toofunny3:

i'll never be able to read the words "palliative care" seriously again :deadbanana4: her "needing" to be helped into her chair like she's 90

Those are older white people who we already established have a completely different audience than Bey.

Just like The Gift and EIL didn't do nearly what Renaissance has. People want solo Bey.

This is a weird thing to do but hopefully they start pushing CUFF IT to Urban/ Urban AC/ Rhythmic and ALIEN SUPERSTAR to Pop/ Hot AC :jonny2:

that doesn't disprove what i said...Beyonce has sold out tours with no current single or album

she has an established reputation...Renaissance tour is going to be sold out even if the album doesn't sell another copy after today

That’s not the point! We KNOW Beyoncé is one of the greatest artists ever. She is in a league of her own imo. However she is also a black woman, she’s is not a rock band like the Eagles who can sell out stadiums without doing anything. She NEEDS to be visible and promoting her music. Her decline in streaming reflects that.

Do y’all honestly think Madonna would have had a record breaking tour without promoting COTDF and no single pushes? Get off Beyoncé defense team and be honest.

Church Girl is the better Urban single choice

Cuff It is another multiplatform single choice that could come after those 2

Who this girl in the back of the room? Who this girl in the back of the room?
Who this girl in the back of the room? It's the groove, it's the Yoncé groove
