yes, I get the whole let's shade each other's faves as long as it doesn't go too far but when I simply stated that I didn't think her fav was a legend, she started attacking me personally saying there were so much to drag me on personally she had multiple choices, even implying people around me had to go through the struggle of them breathing the same air as I do... and when I told her she should tone it down a little, cause I almost ended my life years ago, she basically joked about it and said to get over it... she also made claims I was poor, not lovable and living in a poor neighborhood or sth...

My post has no regard to yesterday's incident, but in general it's comforting to see that the mods are very strict of protecting users private information.

we are not allowed to post stuff that happened outside of ATRL, but the question you should be asking yourself is why would I lie when other people were also involved and witnessed it

If it's that user, I guess I can see why the mods might not have perma-ed them as I don't think they have a history of unhinged behaviour and their posts are usually sensible when I've come across them.

Brings back bad memories when psychos used to spam my photos on forums.

There is literally a Discord group with 100 ATRL members outside of this site and she was in. You can ask to any members from there and they will tell you that. 

She just deleted her 500+ posts history there yesterday after that mess because only problematic posts she posted was not here in ATRL only, unfortunately. 

 

Either way, her post history out of this forum doesn't matter as ATRL rules say so i don't even know what do you guys argue about. 

This thread is literally for things she did IN this forum and she is getting punished for that.

Why are you literally making up lies now? She was in a little group chat Discord with a few Arianators and that's literally it. We've actually seen posts from Discord where Swifties are trying to make up stories and get her permabanned. We have proof and screenshots will be provided if needed to the mods.

Oh wow it's scary to think that something like this could happen on this forum. Stan wars should never go that far especially when our faves don't care for us in the real world

 

Hopefully that user was dealt with and sending love to the victim  

yikes, didn't think these things needed to be explicitly stated as i thought it was just common sense to not go around doxxing people, but the internet continues to amaze me more with each day but i hope the person who was targeted will be alright. sending love wherever you are

Frankly any member who doxxes another user deserves a permanent ban, in my opinion. There is no justification for it. The decision at this time of writing is a temporary ban along with permanent WPs. The grounds for this decision is the following: doxxing is not uniform in nature, a person sharing just a first name (which is what occurred in this incident) is different from sharing a phone number or social media links to personal accounts the user themselves do not make public; the user in question removed the post shortly after it was posted; and the severity of our position on doxxing was not clearly clarified in the Rules of the forum until now.

 

First, it is important to note that this incident consists of two issues: (1) searching for a member of ATRL via online search engines and (2) sharing some information on ATRL. The former is difficult to call out in writing due to the simple fact that ATRL search is broken and it is recommended that for finding posts and/or threads of ATRL, one should use a major search engine with an appropriate search query (e.g., "Lady Gaga <member name> ATRL") to find something on ATRL. Unfortunately, we all have digital footprints and depending on the person, some people's digital footprints might pop up in a search query. As such, it's really difficult to penalize on the grounds of searching alone based on what we as the staff of ATRL can assess on our end. We cannot recommend people to use search engines to search for old threads or posts and then condemn searching for ATRL-related threads and posts. The issue here is the sharing of information on ATRL as a platform. Since the information in this case was non-identifying (only a first name) and the user hid the post shortly afterwards, a perma-ban feels out of line at this point of writing. 

 

For these reasons and more, we are providing a one-time clemency regarding this issue due to the fact the rules on doxxing haven't been plainly stated to members until just now. Future incidents from here on will elicit perma-bans. On that note, we have been made aware of the existence of campaigns (predominantly led to certain stanbases) aiming to have the member in question permanently banned. Such requests/demands will be ignored and potentially warned pending on their tenor.

She has NEVER spoken to you on Discord. I hope you all were a bit more creative then just giving the fake account the username "Ariananext" while pretending to be her? That's not her usernname there. We can also claim it all back with actual proof and screenshots.

this isn't about stan wars, can you stop? why would this person make sh*t up like that... if it wasn't true then they would've just dragged/mentioned the user's activity on HERE without saying anything about a discord. let it be.

 

if this thread is about who i think it is, good - that behavior (and other instances) are super unacceptable

Yeah, the OP in the thread also making stories about her doxxing a person. All of this are just a smear campaign against her. 

 

Also nothing or none of actions you make out of this forum can make you banned. So good luck to whoever that tries to "get her permabanned" with Discord receipts, i guess.

Glad it’s clear now. Same thing happened to me last year in a Dua thread and the user who did it faced no consequences so I feel better now knowing it’s more strict.

this really makes me question my stay on this forum tbh

I think I have nothing to gain in sharing my story but the length her friends are going to silence me when that user had the same name and it's from far before what happened yesterday... I guess it's pointless for me to say anything more cause I won't be heard
