While she’s still 1,000,000x more successful than Katy atm, Swifties have been running around for years acting like Taylor will never reach a point where success will be harder to achieve. So when she finally starts slowing down success wise of course everyone is going to jump on her. Same situation as Gaga after BTW and Katy after Prism. 

 

The cockier the fanbase the more people enjoy seeing that artist fail. Granted it sounds messed up, but Taylor is richer than all ATRL a members combined and the song is absolute garbage so it’s not that big a deal. She’ll still sell at least 1M pure sales of the album
