oh wow radio def pushed for that #1, reminds me of AY's #1 run :dies:

Adore You had better callouts, better streams, and better sales. Which is why it peaked at #6 and almost cracked the top 5. It’s literally about to go back into the top 5 right now. Break My Heart ain’t gonna be top 10 in four months :rip:

It just so happened to go against the biggest song on pop radio and one of the biggest pop songs of the year, Blinding Lights. Radio couldn’t wait to get it to #1 but it would’ve been preposterous for Adore You to not reach #1... its literally still top 15 in the Hot 100, higher than Break My Heart will even peak, FOUR MONTHS AFTER PEAKING :skull:

There’s literally no correlation. Compare it to My Oh My if you must

the meltdown :rip: I remember DSN being 4 weeks at the top and Harry's team **** scared of Bliding Lights coming in as they just wanted one week... just as Dua's team is now with mr. Watermelon Sugar

A shame I can't find the banner :dies:

I wasn't comparing their whole runs, simply that they were both close to miss out on the #1

Only 2 weeks left for The Weeknd to tie Goo Goo Dolls for longest running #1 ever. Stomp king

Radio edits always tend to shorten length of the songs when they're long enough (4 min and upper). "Old Town Road" was doing amazing before the remix.

Every time I explain something on this site y’all call it an essay or a meltdown. It’s getting annoying

And it’s literally not the same. Adore You is a radio juggernaut that deserved every bit of the #1. Break My Heart is a payolaed mess

Let's not pretend AY didn't also get a huge push to #1 by the label :rip: I'm not even saying that as a bad thing, it enjoyed non-downweighted radio and was top10 for multiple weeks. But the #1 push was clear and then the callouts were glowing so radio kept it for ages (and that wasn't payola at all).

I think the problem here is you thinking a #1 push is derogatory to Adore You, but that's with you :priceless:

what's alternative radio looking like these days? haven't seen those charts in forever since Billboard decided to block them behind a paywall. :katie:

Queen of Pop Dua Lipa now over 18k spins at No1 on US Top40 radio with Break My Heart!

The only artist with multiple No1s on Top40 radio this year!

What should be top5 then? BL and AY DSN and Circles? sure

BMH just needed this "little push" too thanks to Watermelon Sugar.

There's really nothing going on in the 11-20 range. Blinding Lights and Adore You are going to be top 10 until December at this rate. :rip:
