It's still impressive, reaching #1 was, staying up there for a day whew  

BTS are having these flash successes on itunes(which is what happens when you have a small but rabid fanbase) but their longevity is woeful. They aint filling One directions void with those overall sales thats for sure. They need a proper hit on Hot100 and decent album sales. 1D albums sold millions not tens of thousands.

Exactly. K-pop consumption is 99.99% stans; this precludes any K-pop acts from scoring proper hits. But that's not to say BTS's performance isn't good for a K-pop group (because it is).

1d was largely stan driven too. i think they had like 2 multi-week t10s?

I haven’t watched the NoN video to judge it, but I can honestly say that BaL has no replay value at all. The video isn’t all that great.

Lmao, quality of music videos / replay value have NOTHING to do with views. Y'all acting as if Despacito isn't the most viewed video ever, and there isn't lyric videos with 1 billion views. 

 

Halsey is still a very niche/fanbase artist, as in only her close followers keep track of her. Hence her debut album going Platinum but there is literally not a single hit the public can name from it. 

 

That is why she has low video views. She hasn't broken through to where the average person knows her, or her music. Now or Never was a big radio hit, but I don't think many people know who sings that, sorta like an Alessia Cara hit, which is why she also has terrible video views. 

 

And I mean, you can be an artist the public doesn't care about and have a huge viewed video but the song has to be an omnipresent hit. Now or Never and Bad at Love are very moderate hits, and very local.
