The Sound Of Silence has remained in the Top 100 on ITunes ever since it got the Blacklist boost. It even had some bright green updates yesterday. I refuse to hold my breath though.

@fridayteenage, I see that "Meant To Be" is going for adds now at Country radio. I haven't heard the song, but it's selling and streaming well. Does it sound Country, or does it need a remix to succeed at the format (or does it already have one)?

 

As for FGL, it looks like Smooth will be their first song to miss the Top Ten, and even the Top Five, at Country radio. Their first two albums each produced four #1s and a fifth #2. I haven't heard Smooth either, so I don't know whether or not it deserved better.

it sounds more country than certain songs that hit on country radio now as it is. 

 

i find it a bit hard to see it doing well tho. country radio is not friendly to lead females, and she's a pop artist. 

even kelly clarkson, getting major country award noms for her small number of country songs, did kinda meh when it was her album's singles rather than reba or jason's.

Yeah, and Bebe's featured on an Urban/Rap song right now lol. Maybe FGL can help Meant To Be gain traction at Country. FGL is featured on a second song right now too, but I haven't heard it yet either. With Smooth apparently peaking around #15, I kind of wonder whether FGL is suffering from overexposure.

Bruno Mars has some sort of special on TV tonight. I fully expect that Uptown Funk will get yet another sales and streaming boost, as will That's What I Like, which is still charting.
