So nope, it's not just 'a few Latin artists' that sell here. Spanish music is pretty dominant all across Europe, even though it is only spoken in Spain.

I'd say 2012-2013 may have been the biggest. Here's a link to the 2012 number one digital singles and their sales each week. If you scroll to the bottom you can see every year since digital sales started counting by Billboard.

Adjusting to 2012' sales climate, it would've opened with 2,7M

 

Either way, I don't think it would've been possible, maybe 1,5M at most. She defied the sales decline like it was nothing
