Wow that was a much faster fall for Harry than I expected. I do think he waited too long at this point, being fourth in line to release solo material does not fit with the "he is the BREAKOUT STAR" narrative the media was feeding us. I do think his star has dimmed since 1D's last album, it's been 1.5 years.

When she performed "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" on Ellen back in 2015, she received a HUGE boost.

It will reach 1M, in three or four months from now. If she releases her debut album sooner than that, then it'll get to 1M even faster.

It must be around 800k... Kworb is not a solid source. Some songs totals are really off.

Songs totals are really only off because of complete my albums. Bad Things should be very close to reality

The Sound Of Silence and Like I'm Gonna Lose You are really off and CMA didn't affect those, and those are some examples off the top of my head. Kworb's numbers must be taken with a grain of salt. Just as rough estimates.

I think Harrys suffering by not going straight for the teen market. His obvious audience. But hopefully it will pay off in the long term. Snatching a quick #1 does not a long term music career make. He's getting amazing feedback and establishing himself as a strong solo artist.

Harry not debuting at #1 is not a big deal and ATRL is making such a big deal of it it's hilarious... 

This is only my opinion but i think Harry just made a big mistake by releasing 'non-very-public-friendly' song for his debut (knowing his loyal fanbase are mostly teenage girls who dont listen to old brit-rocks). . From now on, if he continue to release the same sound he will probably suffer a lot more in sales, in the other hand if he try to release the 'mainstream' sound he will get dragged and people will laugh even more on him and make a comparison with SOTM. Ain't no straight boys listened to 1D i think everyone knew this.

 

Why didnt his team craft something that is 'mainstream' but also serves qulity? Pillowtalk is a great example.
