Harry is getting massive decreases in Europe. If America follows we can say goodbye to 300k and to #1 debut

This BS, if Spotify had their crap this album wouldn't have been a problem, OMG Harry is basically getting robbed a #1...

44. Steps - Scared of the Dark (UK itunes)

This is upsetting. My pop obsession from a decade ago. And this is a cracking comeback song. Pure Steptastic.

Whatever Chained does it still feels like a flop. In relation to whats expected from a major Popgilrs lead single.

Its holding on largely cause it didnt sell big in the first place. So it still has all those potential sales it never fulfilled.

Harry is already #2 in Germany and losing a ton in other European countries, I really don't see this being a smash hit for him

If "Chained To The Rhythm" is a flop, what can you say for her other peers' lead singles?

It has performed decently in the US and has been a solid hit WW. It obviously didn't perform as well as Roar, Cali Gurls or IKAG, but it's a hit either way.

Flop is a relative word.

You can call Chained a hit if you wanna be technical. But the whole point of a lead single is to create interest, buzz & excitement for the new album. I think its failed miserably in that respect. Same with Lordes song. Same with Perfect illusion. Though I think Gaga has done a good recovery just by putting herself out there in high profile gigs. Which have kept her very visible and relevant. And a million reasons kinda picked up the slack that Perfect illusion created. So we could quickly forget the lead song even existed.

Lets wait for Katy's second single before jumping the gun then. :cm:

It can rise back up, once Spotify has their crap together or when the music video comes out...

Watch out for Kendrick, Youtube views are really stable and local, airplay blowing up in Rhythmic and Urban, Spotify is still a lead at #1. Album release on next Friday I think he could surprise

Spotify is helping sales now? I was always told it hurts sales.

I can't believe 2 other discounted songs are above Katy's discount :rip:

I think Harrys song will fall and then stabilize. Its not what his teen pop fans were expecting and they are the ones who were gonna rush out and buy first week. But I see it finding a much wider audience over time. He is in a transitional period of his career and is seeking a new audience basically. That can take time. Its a very mature sound. When Bieber changed his sound it was still very young sounding. But more sophisticated & cooler for an older crowd. Which made the transition easier.

Oh well, its not like he was going to be #1 forever and never have dark red updates :cm: I hope he still manages to sell close to 300k tho :dancehall:

She should easily be able to stay top 5, like many others have been able to do :cm:

She hit top 5 the first week it was discounted, keep up! I don't see any of the other discounted songs currently at top 5 either :cm:
