For those who need a refresher, the IFPI tracks global streaming activity, physical sales, and digital downloads for its rankings. The federation typically publishes six major annual charts: - Global Recording Artist Chart - Global Single Chart - Global Album Chart (Combined metrics) - Global Album Sales Chart (Pure sales) - Global Vinyl Album Chart - Global Streaming Album Chart Last year, Taylor Swift made history by becoming the first artist to win the Global Recording Artist of the Year five times (2014, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024) and achieved a near all-kill, topping five out of the six charts with her 11th studio album: The Tortured Poets Department. Drop your predictions of who takes each of these awards below and check back in on Wednesday for the announcements starting with the countdown of the Global Recording Artists of the year.
