If it gets to that point then yes it's weird. Stripping yourself from personality to adopt exaggerated traits off of entertainment media isn't it Japanese and Korean culture in particular are so exposed online in positive ways so I get why many people fall too deep in it. But its just cultures that have flaws like every other. As long as you engage with things mindfully and don't hurt anyone it's fine, but it's cringe to me.
