Especially if our end goal is an abolished prison system, sometimes removing people from society as efficiently and humanely as possible really isn't a bad idea. Even in a perfect world where the social and economic conditions that create criminals get better tomorrow, there's still going to be generations of damaged people running around for decades to come. Comparing a mass murderer's execution to innocent fictional children being rounded up to fight for spectacle is really really a bridge too far as well, this post borderlines on dogmatic theory-worship. Good ideas can be flawed ideas.

A producer's job is to assist the artist with their vision. Sometimes there can be poor working chemistry, but most people complaining about super-producers are morons. If the work is bad, it's almost always on the artist for either not having any ideas or not having the technical skill to communicate those ideas to the producers and writers assisting them. Jack went through the same thing a couple years ago and then went on to turn in some of his best work in years with Vie. Things can be different when you get into dance music or artists who don't have creative control, but in 90% of cases the producer is only as inspired as the artist they're working with.
