It served its purpose.

It hit #1 and will probably be #1 for at least 2-3 weeks.

 

This song is more radio friendly and might be prepped to take over as a future #1.

I don't foresee longevity in LWYMMD's future and I don't think that was the point.

 

I think ready for it was either a hype single or something they will push but one has already served its purpose so hopefully RFI does end up getting its shine.

 

I still think this is just a hype single and they will release one more song probably in late Oct/early Nov

If the album comes out in November why does she need a promo single already  

I guess this is a promo single to help with the pre-orders? But...the album won't be released until two months from now  It's also possible that she's not expecting LWYMMD to stay at #1 for that long so she's releasing a more radio friendly single to make up for it. 

So weird how she has so many haters but anything she releases goes directly to #1.
