Am I blind, or did you completely leave Lady GaGa off this list, OP? How many multiweek solo #1s does she have?

Just Express Your Waterfalls, right?

What an awfully quiet thread for such a massive achievement. Surely these four can chime in and share their thoughts? @Doctor Dick @Link16 @Fluch @REALiTi

What's massive about this when the last two of your fave's multi-week #1s were manipulated through physical sales when the songs themselves were plummeting down the charts? Other pop girls with respect for themselves and their brand would've just let it be a single week because the inorganicness of if it all will only hurt the brand in the long run. Those are my thoughts.

I do agree a certain starlet with massive organic success both in collaborations (certain other vocally-impared acts can't relate) and solo with critically acclaimed recent studio albums with more than one global hit is missing but that doesn't take anything away from her success considering it's looked at as organic while certain other acts will always have a * attached to multiple of their #1 "hits". And I just know @Link16 @Fluch and @REALiTi and anyone sane agrees.

Taylor's number 1's aren't organic because her fans buy her music, meanwhile flops like Gaga somehow are more organic when she hasn't been relevant as a solo artist since 2011 and needed to rebrand herself into an actress to be relevant in music again.

For this argument to be grounded in empirical reality, there would first need to be a subsequent solo track that secured a minimum of a one-week tenure at #1. That reality for certain artists is non-existent. You could say it's a stark mathematical demonstration of how far the once-mighty have fallen.

OT: Looking at the list, I can only see bonafide hitmakers. clap

Certain acts' one week #1 is bigger in sales and streams and overall units along with better recurrent streams than 9 of a certain starlets "multi-week #1s" mentioned on this list so what good does having a multi-week #1 (in many cases a forced one) do?
