Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' No. 1 on Hot 100 for 17th Week, Ariana Grande Has Two in Top 5

Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" tallies a 17th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, solely claiming the fourth-longest command in the chart's history. The single first led the list in February.

"Choosin' Texas," on SAWGOD/Columbia Records, with Triple Tigers having promoted it to country radio, totaled 24.9 million official streams (down 2% week over week), 54.5 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 4%, thanks in part to it reaching the top 10 on Pop Airplay) and 9,000 sold (up 9%) in the United States July 31-Aug. 6. Langley's first Hot 100 leader rises a spot for a 17th week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs; holds at No. 6, after reaching No. 4, on Radio Songs; and climbs two places for a 14th week at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales.

With "Choosin' Texas" at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and Langley and Morgan Wallen's "I Can't Love You Anymore" newly No. 1 on Country Airplay, Langley becomes just the third artist, and first woman, to top the two charts simultaneously with different songs (since the latter began in January 1990).

Ariana Grande's "Hate That I Made You Love Me" surges 8-2 on the Hot 100, after it ruled in its first week in May, and her new set's title cut debuts at No. 4, powered by 17.9 million streams, 3.8 million in radio reach and 6,000 sold in its first week, following the album's July 31 release.

Grande ups her career total to a milestone 25 Hot 100 top 10s, becoming the 14th artist with at least that many.

Taylor Swift leads with 15, followed by Barbra Streisand (11), Madonna (10), Beyoncé (eight) and Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga and Grande (seven each), dating to the chart's start as a regularly published ranking in 1956.

Of petal's 295,000 equivalent album units earned in the tracking week, album sales comprise 168,000 (Grande's second-largest sales week ever — it debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 126,000 (equaling 128.83 million on-demand official streams of the set's songs — it also debuts at No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums) and 1,000 TEA units.

Grande's only larger album sales week was registered when My Everything debuted with 169,000 sold in 2014.

The new set was released in its first week across more than 10 digital download and streaming variants (including six with assorted bonus tracks including live cuts, voice notes, a cappellas and instrumentals), 10 vinyl variants (including a signed edition), five CD variants (including a signed edition) and two cassettes. The next four titles are all non-movers for the week. Ella Langley’s Dandelion is No. 4 (72,000, down 3%), Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide is No. 5 (59,000, down 5%), Drake’s ICEMAN is No. 6 (48,000, down 10%), and Wallen’s One Thing at a Time is No. 7 (38,000, down 4%).
