I genuinely do love following her and she's one of the best 20s acts. But while she's incredible at crafting melodies and toplining, she needs to work with someone new. Her pop dna is very mellow bittersweet popmitimsm so her productions need to hit a little harder for contrast. Otherwise it's mellow on mellow and I feel like it flattens her choruses a bit and diminishes the impact of her songwriting. I'm not saying her or every popstar on the planet needs to do YES GOD, her music is great. She needs a producer to sharpen and refine what is already there.

Foxes for instance is someone who walks that line perfectly between earnest mellow poptimism and interesting production.

This one is just, there, for me. Nothing exciting tbh

this is a letdown after Club to Your Arms

It's good, but Club to Your Arms was such a perfect banger that this one feels like a bit of a letdown. I hoped the album would have more Kylie-esque euphoric vibes.

Still excited for the album though!

There is so much good pop music lately I'm obsessed with it even though it's not as good as Club. There is something off vocally about the hook yet she still sells it
