Since the release of 'Watch it burn' Kats have come for Capitol hard, they want Katy to leave the label. Do you think it's the label? Do you think Spotify aren't positioning her? Or is it Capitol not paying? More importantly, does TTH even make a hit in 2026?

Discuss.

no. it's not a good song.

Kats always have their excuses. Witness flopped because she cut her hair. Smile flopped because of the clown album cover. 143 flopped because of Dr. Luke.

The cycle continues.

good playlisting would barely move the needle at all tbh. it's so funny that that's the Kats' excuse after they've been hollering about "wheel of excuses" w Gaga, who can actually still get hits, forever now

No. Blaming Capitol is an easy scapegoat. Katy is one of the most visible and promoted artists in all of pop music. Her releases are all over the place whenever she releases. People just do not like her music for the last 10 years besides exceptions like Harley's and Never Really Over and those are 7+ years old now.

Her hit making days are over and that's totally okay, she has a string of classics few will ever achieve. People just need to stop placing unrealistic expectations on how much people are looking out for new music from her in 2026.

I mean it would probably drive a pretty massive increase in stream relative to what it's getting

vin

but that wouldn't hold nor be all that significant

No, they're stuck in the past, TTH barely moves the needle anymore, even in its prime it could never make or break hits.

It will get maybe 10% more

Yes

And that would go away quickly if people dont like the song they start skipping it like on day 2

The way so many songs are added to TTH and don't become hits. No one is streaming that mess willingly or unwillingly.

TTH doesn't help anymore, they could use more options like autoplay, try to make it viral in TT but that could only work if the gp is on board.

TTH is only really doing heavy lifting for less known artists now, people are aware Katy dropped a song, they just actively said no

ATRL is a democratic society. It'd about what the people think.

Some 90s debut female artist Stans think not releasing for 2 years could stunt a career, we all know that's not true either. It's about holding that mirror up!

No, the GP and humanity collectively said NO THANK YOU and moved on with their lives. Exposure won't change that.
