For years Armys have dragged female idols specially Black Pink and BTS and Hype supported this from behind

Today not only Blinks but everyone hates that album. The sales are not even close to the goals they decided

It doesn't seem like Swim will reach 40m on Spotify debut too

And just few minutes back , Aoty deleted over 7k bot reviews for the album

What went wrong?

They Peaked. It happens

Taylor did 30M and they're nowhere near as big as she is on Spotify so why would anyone think they could do 40M?

Not to mention the bots that would be filtered anyway.

Their target was 40m for Swim , which they have been circulating

They disappeared as a group for years and some of their stans grew up. They're still popular but the number of their stans that used to run rampant on social media have declined. It doesn't help that a lot of their bots have been eradicated

And karma for the BTS stans dragging Gaga and Ariana for winning that Grammy

HYBE spent too much on litigation and couldn't keep the farms running

HYBE got exposed for sajaegi (payola) last month so they had to tone it down a bit. Also, Pig Si Hyuk is probably going to prison soon.

This is one of the most amazing albums I have heard in a long time. Yes I'm a Yoongi Stan but I never was fond of BTS but this album won be over 100%

Like seriously how is anyone hating on like animals? That is one of the best songs from a Kpop boy act I've heard

Forgotten album which sold half of their previous one, universally panned album, Dr. Puke collabs, "Go" leaving Spotify charts after just few weeks and pulling less streams than H2H

the album seems to be critically acclaimed so far

For me, the biggest thing that happened this year is that their rabid fans can NEVER brag about these boys being the first K-Pop/Korean artists anymore, cos that honor goes to Ejae, & Teddy Park. Thinking about that gave me hope and solace, since I had terrible second hand embarrassment from them claiming they paved the way for K-Pop artists.

Still prefer their Korean songs but its light years above Dynamite/Butter
