Guys, i need help buying a GOOD cd player, since ive been starting to collect them

A portable, discman-style?

If I was shopping for one, I would need anti-skip protection, cd-rw playability (for playing custom cds you have burned), and I think new cd players have bluetooth connectivity, as well

do you have a proper stereo to start with? if yr going to listen to them properly then you need an amplifier and speakers as well and the cost will really spiral (idk if anyone make stuff that connects with bluetooth speakers directly, cd players haven't really moved on like turntables have i don't think)

it might be as well buying a cd drive that you can plug into a laptop if you've got something like that already, then you can listen to them thru that or just load them into desktop software like apple music (they're only about £30-£50)

i think the fiio ones are supposed to be pretty good? they're quite expensive tho for what they are tho , £140 over here

That looks very modern and tasteful, wow I especially love the clear lid option. Not familiar with the brand, but the design and features are very appealing

That looks like a nice one, tbh. and the price is decent. Wish I'd seen it sooner (before I paid a fortune for mine)

they're a big name in digital audio players but they've recently started doing these old school things as well (they make portable cassette players too but i don't think they're supposed to be as good)

i've seen lots of reviews for this CD player, it is super solid imo. Great sound quality, sleek design, does not skip, Bluetooth connection feature, and none of the issues that old CD players have. In my eyes, it's proper value for money.

yeah i'd seen all the good trade reviews but now i'm looking at the buyers on amazon and a lot of people are saying that the catch is really cheap and breaks easily so idk now

i'm absolutely someone who will keep a proper stereo going if i can but it costs a fortune these days, it's hard to find an easy way in for cd players

Really? It could be a legitimate concern, but I feel it's a minority of its users because I've genuinely only heard positive reviews of the product. Perhaps, you can check Reddit to see if it's a good long-term option, but I wouldn't suggest it if it wasn't currently on my bucket list lol. Plus, you don't need to invest in stereo equipment with this CD player unless you're an audiophile. But if you find a cheap yet quality stereo, you should definitely get it; though I don't think it's personally necessary with the DM13. Plus, the fact that it is modern means you can also get support on wear and tear from the Fiio team, unlike having to do it yourself painstakingly with YouTube tutorials with outdated models.

if you drive just go with good cd stereo with cd player .. though i guess it only works if you pay the extra on high quality speakers and subs. but it's where I'll play my cds.

on that topic .. yeah CD players are all the same it's the speakers you want tbh.

CDs are 1s and 0s babes. No player is going to read information better than another.

You can go with pretty much any CD player, but I would recommend those from the late-90s or early 2000s because they tend to have the most features.

The technology has not improved much since its debut in the 1980s, so you're fine with pretty much any option you go with. Even a Playstation makes a great CD player.

yeah, i wonder if the solution might just be one of those cheap systems you can get? something like this is probably not very highend but it'll be pefectly alright and it's got speakers, panasonic stuff is built to last
