I'm wanting to get into photography, mostly of still life, nature shots, architecture, cute candid moments between people. For anyone who knows **** about photography, what camera would you recommend for a novice like me? I have a great eye for photography but don't know much about a camera. But I want something decent. Also, I'm not trying to go broke over this, so reasonably priced is ideal.

If you're not looking to spend an ungodly amount of money, the best camera is the one already in your pocket shooting raw(assuming you have a flagship phone). Get comfortable with photo editing and with dialing in camera settings before making a leap.

Lightroom is the perfection. Learn how to experiment with color gradients, you can research on Instagram or TikTok, and write "Lightroom presets" and you will either see people sharing the preset setting or download/buy presets.

Regarding camera, I'd say the iPhone or other flagship smartphone are now getting smarter and better at taking photo. You will need to learn what kind of ISO, Aperture.mp3, depth, focus point, and many more. It is easy to learn and then you will get better.

Don't focus too much on niche, just take random photo and then you will find your niche there

I disagree that you should just use your smartphone. Spend a few hundred bucks on a nice entry-level camera and put the phone away for a bit. Get a copy of Light ― Science & Magic and play around with the controls. Who wants a drop down notification when you're in the middle of a hobby? lol

What's your budget?

I have a Fuji x100vi

It's a great camera and very compact but there are few limitations like sometimes the I miss the zoom function. I would get a x t5 for the versatility.

Lightroom but get the premium version. It makes everything super easy and fast. Even if you buy a proporcionar camera you will still use it a lot.
