I've always felt Elton's love for Gaga was rooted, at least at first, in his hatred for Madonna. Elton is a petty gay and he hated Madonna for a very long time lol. I think he and Gaga then did actually connect considering he made her the godmother of his kids.

Ultimately, Gaga is now a big girl and doesn't need outside support like she once did. I think now their relationship is still there but it's much more private as she's got her own things going on.

she was in a documentary about him in 2024 and i think his kids attended her Coachella performance as well. they're fine lol.
