Im an avid vinyl collector. As others have pointed out these are regular prices for anniversary editions. Maybe Im desensitized to the prices since this isn't a rare occurrence to me. Im not gonna demand bey to bend the knee over something that is common practice. Why is this outrage always only reserved for Bey ☠️

The outrage isn't only reserved for Bey, though. I've said multiple times that this is a problem across all artists... The fact that these prices are considered "regular prices" is precisely the problem. We should hold our faves accountable for these extortionate prices, rather than attacking fans who find them unacceptable.

I saw Sabrina offering a nothing burger at an extreme price point and it sold out quickly. Barely saw any complaints. So I still feel this outrage is only reserved for Bey.

Well that seems to be the source of your frustration then. Looking at the industry from a wider lens will definitely give you a greater perspective and realise that she's actually charging the same or even less for her physicals and tours than other artists in today's climate.

I really hope that the economy recalibrates at some point because people (including me) are often being priced out of items and experiences, but I can't blame one artist for it.

She is charging below market pricing for a 4LP 180g boxset.

Even the 2LP 180g is more affordable than what other artists are charging.

It might be so. The audio was indeed added for that particular video.

The whole anniversary and its particular moment in her career is just so odd to me still. I just hope she's not going into full legacy mode yet, expectations for the final act are certainly higher now.

In the midst of a decade spanning trilogy act though? And they're actively pushing it as well, physicals and a single release for it. Why not for her personally groundbreaking debut in 2023? I know she just embarked on the Rennie tour, but it's not like she would exhaust her commercial momentum with an anniversary release between act I and II. It just all points to me that something happened with act III behind the scenes, but I guess we'll never know for sure.

Oh of course sth happened behind the scenes, but the coincidence just worked perfectly, and you know how Bey feels about such coincidences. She for sure took it as a sign

I would also add that B'Day has been performing well on streaming platforms (or better than expected). It might not have been the main cause, but it could have contributed to some degree.

I'm not mad at getting more content and official releases of previously unreleased music. I'm actually thrilled as to what this could mean for IASF and 4 that were never officially pressed on vinyl.

Of course I'm anticipating Act 3 hard but she should've been doing anniversary releases. It always seemed odd to me that she avoided doing big anniversary releases since her legacy is so abundant and should be celebrated.

I hope she pulls a Radiohead InRainbows for the next album (she wonʻt)
