I still wouldnt rule out some changes to the songs or hidden remixes or so. This is Beyoncé, she loves to tweak, she loves adlips, she loves remixes. For all we know, these songs could sound different. And Bey LOVES surprises. Just saying.

its the latter.

theres a twitter account that was running LQ screengrabs through "what you don't want her to use" and the result is similar. its like they fed LQ images to "enhance" them and it changed small details.

Same! it could belong to Dangerously in Love like My First Time, an unreleased B'day song or a post B'day era song like Donk and let's not forget that she thought about releasing a 2nd album around december 2003 because she had recorded so many tracks for DIL

ngl i love the acts aesthetic like the font, black backgrounds, minimalist design mixed with maximalist shoots and outfits, the horse on the front and back covers, her big jugs and ****** out etc it's all very OCD pleasing like i really love it

but the reissue made me notice i'm ready to move on to something new and fresh (and i doubt she herself isn't tired of it as well)

it makes the upcoming album feel kinda predictable outside of its sound. like yeah we know there'll be a horse/animal on the cover and back, no big fonts, the tracklist will be arranged as usual, a booklet full of pics teasing things we won't see, cutouts of her face, the era itself will be empty outside release week and excruciatingly drawn out, no live performances outside the tour… just release act III and let's move on to something different and new (that isn't OTR III, anything DC related or more sucky music with #that man)

I've recently purchased my first home and I have a vinyl wall above my player with 9 shelves so this is perfectly timed for me as I have a spare spot and don't want to be wasteful and fill it with something that doesn't bring me joy.

interesting to see all the discourse here. While I can appreciate the sentiment, I fear a lot of you would be better off taking or leaving this. You either see it as a bonus, with the potential for new material, better quality mixing and a surprise or two or you ignore it entirely and go about your day and maybe give the old version a stream or two.

regarding the price it was about what I was expecting, especially considering what I said above, I've certainly noticed the inflation in vinyl pricing. For me I am happy to spend this amount on an artists I love and for a good quality collectible.

side note, I'm still pissed that my Renaissance limited edition vinyl never shipped (despite ordering within seconds of the pre order links appearing). Beyoncé.com will never be forgiven for that.

actually unironically agree with this. doesn't mean the visuals will necessarily get released, but should put to bed the whole 'those were just photoshoots!' discourse.

im getting really irritated by people who have no media literacy. like people who genuinely think this is act iii, or people who suggest that the imagery in the cowboy carter and renaissance booklets aren't from the visual projects she's been cooking up.

Ok I know I've posted a lot but I think some of you are missing why it's actually kinda smart to establish BDay as thematically in-line with the trilogy project, which is all about establishing Beyonce (and the wider landscape of black music) as just as entitled to the aesthetics and legacies of dance, country and rock music as white artists are (while affirming the diaspora's roots in the formation of those genres).

B'day, more than any other early Beyonce album, feeds directly into the three acts as a project that affirms she was already playing with these ideas.

act i: dance music - Freakum Dress, Get Me Bodied, Kitty Kat

act ii: country and americana music - Irreplaceable, Suga Mama

act iii: rock 'n' roll - Freakum Dress (live), Ring the Alarm, Green Light

This is an album that should be considered a precursor to her genre expoloration as much as lemonade

I dont like neither the vinyl deluxe or cd covers

i wish she went back to the photographer for the post production of these new outtakes cause it seems her current team edited them the way they do her new photoshoots

if we look back, the bday cover (and most of the pics) you can see her makeup (ie eyeshadows) is stronger, compared to the way it looks so soft on the new cover

As much as I hate to bring up the visuals, the release lacks a third component since the alligator in the back cover lacks its tail. So if the remaining part related to B'Day is already done, it might be the dvd anthology in 4K.

This might mean that act iii were the visuals all along, as some people have already theorised.

Or I just could be wrong and the alligator was conceived to appear without a tail to begin with.

i would love a 4K remaster of the videos but she probably filmed everything in digital

but on a honest note i went on date with a guy recently and he started comming for B but stanning basic pop divas and i didnt disclose imma B stan ( I dont expect or need my Partner to love B or listen to her music btw thats not a criteria ...im grown ) but it leaves bitter taste in my mouth if you hate / or dislike and discredit her and makes me question you in many regards tbh....

Anyways i dreamt of hearing Bday Reloaded and the extra Vocals added were really nice ....I remember she added ad libs to Upgrade U . So incase she didnt add anything hit me up and i can sing them for yall instead !

act iii is not the visuals we know this

if act iii is the visual project it would be out by now - there's literally no reason to sit on music videos for 5/3 year old songs, however good they are.

for all we know its just video footage from photoshoots that got reused as visualizers or scrapped footage
