  • I am really convinced that Taylor Swift has some mental issue where she seems to be perennially stuck in high school. No shade but something is off about how a regular 36 year old is so differently pl

i think most people would have the same problem

I was talking about song "I CAN SEE YOU".

She's getting better and better at directing, although not a fan of the concept. Might grow to like it ig

SO GOOD WOW jonny4

She really is becoming such a great director, this and Ophelia are two of her best mvs

You know, I actually think it would be quite boring if she only made one type of video aimed at the highest replay value possible. Taylor has loved making kinda weird videos for a long time. This is definitely one of the better executions.

I also think it does fit the song. Opalite is so earnest that it's a little dorky! I feel like you're meant to dance like no one is watching to it, not perfect choreography like Ophelia.

oh sorry i completely misunderstood rip yeah it had the same problem but i can see you sounds more dark-ish so the aesthetics of the mv actually kinda match the song

The direction is great

Video is great but we needed a dance video

What even is she doing with her career

Messing everything up

@FolkLover1989 is typing…

She has destroyed her career

There is no coming back

Sadly she is too talented and I hate that she did this video just for Graham Norton guest and not her fans

this era is just L after L for me. she needs to direct a romcom already and funnel this ish away from her music.

She had a mega viral dance challenge in Asia and instead of doing that, she gave us nothing.

I Can See You is a MUCH more egregious example of a song not fitting a video than this. Opalite is about feeling lonely, aimless, and out of place then finding someone special that lights up your whole life. And the song is so happy-go-lucky and earnest that I don't think serving looks and fierce choreography would've fit.

Taylor unrelease it! Where's the choreography? Where are showgirl costumes? deadbanana2 This has zero replay value!

the more i think about it, the more i'm relieved that she didn't bother to shoot a video for Cruel Summer biblio

The way this is written along with the "she has destroyed her career, there's no coming back," makes it sound like we're talking about Chappell Roan or Addison Rae rip.

Taylor is the most successful female recording artist ever, she can't mess everything up with her career deadbanana2. She could stop tomorrow and already be the most accomplished woman in music history and top 5 overall.

I'll wait for the video when it's released on YouTube, which is not that long ofc. -*

I agree with what lyrics mean but I never get sad/lonely vibe when i listen to Opalite. It always screams outdoor fun, sunshine.
