1 year ago today, the 'Disease' Spotify thread was created by @Kylie Jenner

Intended to document and discuss the performance on Spotify of Lady Gaga (Cheek To Cheek)'s eponymous lead single for her seventh studio album, Mayhem, the thread was the site of many memes and meltdowns, the thread reached 238 pages (the longest such thread in the Charts section, later surpassed by Gaga's own Abracadabra) before being locked.

in retrospect, it's interesting to see how wrong ATRL was again. all those drags and meltdowns only for the album to end up becoming a career victory lap for her - commercial and critical success, with a huge tour. she really does always get the last laugh

OGH are always loud and wrong and also I've noticed since 2013 they always try to start a narrative first hoping it would stick and it might have worked in 2013, but it never did since then and yet they still do it :rip:  Everytime Gaga does something they would be the first to chime in just to be proven wrong again and again :skull:  Really the biggest losers in the stan world.

no, the numbers are pretty disappointing for a comeback single after 4 years. don't lie to yourself

the peak on billboard hot 100 was #28

TEXAS HOLD 'EM 737,421,432

yes, and? 690,491,569

LUNCH 888,242,243

Houdini 927,741,907

Houdini winning the lead single competition :clap3:

Its one of the best songs on Mayhem and one of the best singles and videos of her entire career

The GP has no taste

Streaming numbers arent a drag and dont mean anything anymore, some of the best songs/artists/singles in recent years never got the numbers but got the artistry and acclaim

Are we pretending that 300m is a good number for a highly anticipated lead single to have after a year :rip:
