"Soft Girl Era" was a nice uptempo palate-cleanser, but I would love her to try something uptempo with the oomph of lots of live instruments like this:

solid album!

Really love this album, but she'll never top Shea Butter Baby for me. That was the perfect sound for her - blend of neo-soul, jazzy influences, and modern production elements.

Is it just me or did they mix her voice differently this era? It's like they added very slight autotune or made it too loud in the mix or something. It could just be because I listened on my iPhone speaker since my AirPods were dead

Also, the production of the outros is sometimes better than that of the actual songs

This is such a good album. I'm connecting with it way more than Age/Sex/Location. I used to think her being only on a major label would make her sound change too much but this is a great balance. It's too hard to pick a top 5 for this. There are so many songs she got perfect.

Unpopular opinion but I made a playlist and removed UTM. Something about the chorus is funny to me and throws the vibe off.

I knew High Key would become one of my faves. one of the top comments says it gives 2010s Mariah and I thought the exact same thing
