Sure, she was not really a dancer (not like her songs demanded it), but I was watching some of her performances and she could give so much energy and emotions, unlike some of her peers 🐮 

 

And of course, her incredible voice, which I think could make justice to any song

well basically no one was wearing sparkly leotards until like 2009...

 

I'd say she is underrated...if you think of the "performers" of her generation it's usually Michael or Janet Jackson, Madonna, Tina Turner, etc... people who put in more dance and spectacle but Céline is immensely dedicated to the stage and always gives 300% even without choreography. She should be up there.

 

 

If anything she's underrated. Her run of back-to-back monster selling albums has really only been matched by Taylor.

100% underrated! One of the most successful touring acts for a reason. She puts on an amazing show and arguably her albums have been a vehicle to allow her to go on tour, rather than the other way around.

Indeed, very.

She's an incredible performer and is to this day. If it weren't for her illness she'd still be putting on shows that would put many of the pop girls of today to rest. She never needed to dance. Her expressive, melodramatic arm movements and body jolts were so theatrical and embodied. I'm so fortunate I was able to see her twice right before she announced her diagnosis. Her voice was still pure gold and the energy she sustained throughout was mind blowing tbh.

 

Compare her to Mariah (who I adore). Mariah had the voice but she was a very boring performer who was hard to connect with and that shows even more today now that her voice has, understandably, diminished. Celine was outperforming all the other pop girls who rely primarily on vocals and Celine never missed a note. She's always been that *****.

Is she really underrated? I constantly see her in the conversation for greatest voice of all time. After the Divas "incident" with Mariah so long ago, I think she was pretty clearly one of the greatest vocalists ever and lauded as such.

No she is known to be a performer!
