Madonna's Music era is often remembered as a short yet explosive chapter in her career, but looking back, it feels like it had the potential to be much bigger and to last much longer than it ultimately did. Selling over 10 million copies worldwide with only three singles, the album was already a global smash, yet the momentum suggests that with a few more single releases, extended promotion, and deeper exploration of its eclectic sound, the Music era could have rivaled some of Madonna's most dominant periods.

idk but she should've done a video for impressive instant even if it flopped 

 

i also dont know why that horrible trance remix of WIFLFAG got a single treatment when the album version is so much better

I would have kept the first two singles. Then release impressive instant with club and radio edits. Then properly push the album version of WIFLFAG (video with original or both) with the remix coming out after. Tack on beautiful stranger and American pie. Reissue in 2002 with die another day and a few other songs. 

Runaway Lover should've been the 3rd single.

Amazing is the only other song here with some kind of hit potential. Music is her most left-field album by far, so it's no surprise they didn't try to mine it for more hits.

the first two singles are perfect, i'd do amazing (even if she hates it), really push impressive instant with a cool video and finish off with the original WIFLFAG

start the era with American Pie with more promo to then release to promote the album Music a week after the album

came out

then go with:

What It Feels Like For a Girl (original)

 

Gone to promote the tour with a live version attached to a new reworked issue that would include Die Another Day as the final single

Outside of AMAZING there is little else normie friendly on the album that could have worked as a single, which is why it's one of my fave M albums.

Just switch the third single with Impressive Instant,  that's it. 

I think the era went just as well as it could tbh
3 global smash hits (I consider american pie to be part of this era even if not from the album)

I wouldve maybe pushed for Amazing or Impressive instant to be singles but they wouldve both been minor hits despite being great.
