I already know I'm going to wear this album out. This is the perfect Pop-R&B album, she really did it. One More Time, Happy, Couples Therapy, Take Me Dancing, Lipstain, Silly Fun... there's too many highlights but she made a skipless masterpiece imo. Feeling v justified to be such a stan right now lol. 

My only criticism is that the album may need just a few more rap heavy uptempos like AHH MEN. Other than that, She ******* delivered a fantastic record! 
 

My top songs keep changing so I'm going to wait to post about that later!

Gorgeous... is not what I thought it would be. It's nice but not really single worthy. Much better tracks on the album.

When i listen to the album the Eiffel tower cover is what the music sounds like to me. i picture someone yearning for this dramatic love affair story, day dreaming of this perfect fantasy of a love they believe is going to work out.

the official parachute cover feels more of what the album really is, a love that didn't make it in the end. it seems more disappointing to me, less of a dream and more real life.

if that makes sense. 

the album is so fun but the last 2 songs makes me feel like the whole project is kind of sad. 

i do really love it.

Oh we have our AOTY

Thought it would've been a much more fun, energetic and groovier record than it ended up being. I don't think it's bad, but I feel like you have heard everything the album has to offer like 5 tracks in. There's sometimes an issue of connecting her rap with the instrumental on the more upbeat tracks. Meanwhile most of the slower R&B inspired songs definitely blend into one another, though they work the best with the kind of vocals she has to offer. Overall it's kind of grating to hear 80s synths with wispy, airy, floaty girly vocals, when what you really want is that powerful diva energy. All Mine vocals had some good moments though. Production also carries a lot of the songs though even then the productions weren't that unique or exciting.

 

Gorgeous is the best song, which to me includes everything good the album has to offer. But even then I'm unsure whether I'll be adding it into any of my playlists. The album as a whole is pretty mid and the 80s thing didn't work out as well as I had hoped. Better luck next time!

The album is not just a nod to the 80s, it's literally the 80s with updated sound equipment

Honestly, I had no idea it was even out tomorrow until like a couple of days ago.  She lost me with her last album so I was unsure about this one, glad I listened. 

I really wish the Paris photo was the one on Spotify  artists are messy and chaotic, that's why labels are there to put their foot down dddd

 

Still counting down the minutes and will be streaming on repeat of course
