I  don't agree. I think that turn a lot of people off & when she was the most embarrassing. It's also her biggest flop era it bomb so hard. She was better off just doing a EP of rock songs.

the most commercial successful she's been in a long time. 
 

I actually enjoy Demi & Miley changing it up every era it reminds me of Christina Aguilera. 

She has fallen off big time since 2018. The music video hasn't even cracked 900k views after a full day, which is shocking, even for Demi.

I think she's made the right move. It's a classic move for pop girls to change up their sound and reinvent - and respect to Demi for having the guts to do so, because some don't and they do suffer as a result.
 

There are parallels (which some don't want to admit to) between Demi and Camilla, and both may not have blown up or hit their potential (yet), but not being afraid to jump genre's is a sign they are in it for the long haul.

 

The problem is not with Demi, it's with a very jaded audience which is why streaming figures across the board generally are going down, which makes it difficult for anyone to jump off a platform and launch in the midst of this type of currently muted macro environment.

You make it seem like she has not been able to chart since 2018. Her last top 20 was in 2020 and in 2021 she had 3 top 40s. Since then she's also had 4-5 more Billboard entries. 

Her label has not supported her since 2021, which has made her struggle even more.

I was talking about success. When we talk about being over is the ability to make hits or not, and her last hit was Solo. Chart for 1 week on top20 (based on radio payola) or chart in the lower part of the chart doesn't mean she's not over.
