I'm impressed with how he has written all of the songs himself. How many artists these days do that, besides Sam Fender?

 

I Wish I Knew How To Quit You is another smash hit. 

Despite the lashings and little faith from @UnusualBoy, I have just heard the album.

 

1. crushing - What a great way to start an album, it caught all my attention, I still think the voice effect sounded a little too noisy sometimes.

 

2. 12 to 12 - Already heard, and probably his most interesting song yet sonically.  

 

3. i wish i knew how to quit you - So catchy so good, single material.

 

4. back to friends - One my very favorite songs this year, it just knocks so hard.

 

5. canal street - Oh, I was digging for a slow song and he didn't disappoint, surprised by the key changes throughout the song. My only "complaint" is that I wish the chorus was... longer, but most of his songs come with simple chorus tbh.

 

I am not good with track by track review... but I enjoy the rest as well, liked a lot "come closer" (and already loved "we never dated"). I admit "under the mat" was one of my least favorite off the record.

 

Such a talented young boy, absolutely solid album, I really really like it, it might be up there as one of my favorites this year.

This is on repeat, "canal street" is definetely a highlight for me, so pretty.

'makes me want you' should've been on the album!

 

canal street reminds me of Timothee Chalamet playing Bob Dylan. I LUV it.

Oh wow I didn't know that, even Back To Friends was self produced and self written. I'm also impressed considering how young he is

This is a solid pop debut, tight and captivating with room to grow. I could've done without Canal Street though.

12 to 12 sounds like a slow-burner that's bound to climb to #1 in the coming months, an undeniable hit
