Tweet is definitely an artist who (1) needs more uptempos in her catalog, and (2) should be getting more calls for TV show placements to spread the word.   How did randomly-released records

omg so curious for this

The name of the new album makes you think it will be somehow connected to her debut.

I hope she includes some uptempo songs like Oops. I want her to really sang. I discovered watching her live performances she's got really good vocals. I would've never imagined judging by her records.

Missy involved?

There's no word about it but Missy's given Tweet her biggest hits. It would be her first project without her.

The title sounds familiar: Wasn't this shared on a Livestream pre-Covid as a record that didn't make her second album It's Me Again

Edit: Here it is!

Ugh so classic Tweet 😍

I think a big reason why she's never really blew up is because her signature song is such an outlier in her discography.

Def not. If you listened to her first and second album there are more songs like Oops. Hell other people have covered songs from her debut album and scored hits with it.

Tweet suffered from being on a terrible record label + colorism and ageism.

Her new single is a twenty years old leftover?

Her signature song and her signature sound are nothing alike. I wish she found the way to preserve her sound AND include some bops like Oops.

Nah, Oops and Call Me are outliers in her discography.

Her 3 most streamed songs are Oops, Boogie 2Nite and Call Me. Maybe she shouldn't forget to include some uptempos. :coffee2:

How did randomly-released records like these not get to an Insecure soundtrack?

I want to lock Tweet in the studio with The-Internet (Matt Martians, SYD, Steve Lacy), Craig Brockman, Harv, and PJ Morton. I'm sure that team could whip up uptempos that suit a light, airy voice with real instruments. Like this:

I agree but I don't think she will lol. I think she sees herself differently than how her fanbase does. Wish she'd work with Solange in some capacity. Solo's probably her biggest celeb fan and is always shouting her out.

Tweet did the backing vocals for "Weary", "Mad", and "FUBU" on Solange's A Seat At The Table, but you're 100% right: it's time for features and co-leads instead of backing vocals. I'd also like to see her write for Ari Lennox and appear on a Chance The Rapper project.
